I don't get to read too much of his work, but what I have read I am pleased with. I'll take him over Everson and Brooks any day. Thoughts? Comments? Fruit baskets?

Fruit baskets? DevilsSMASH 10-16-2006, 01:28 PM He's fine, but you are doing him a disservice by comparing him to Neverson and Larry "Spewing hot garbage out of my mouth" Brooks. Drewr15 10-16-2006, 01:31 PM Chere gives the best coverage of the devils in the area. what I love about him is when everson prints a BS article, chere the next day will print the devils comments disproving it. its great. Brodeur 10-16-2006, 01:35 PM Some Anaheim columnist penned a half-serious article entitled "Will the Ducks go 82-0?" after the Ducks jumped out to a 3-0 record. And of course, the Islanders beat them. Hate to judge Chere based on what other writers spew, but he's pretty solid with info. Heat McManus 10-16-2006, 05:40 PM I only compare him due to geographic proximity. Rich if you read these boards forgive my insulence. David Puddy 10-16-2006, 07:53 PM I really like Rich Chere. Tom Gulitti is pretty good as well. I trust both of these men when they write something. If there is a quote, it is likely the exact words out of the mouth of the member of the Devils organization. Also, Everson has written a gameday article for the past few games. That's why I haven't posted him in the GDT. He only seems to write TB Sheets 10-17-2006, 12:41 PM I've been reading Rich Chere's articles for a long time, and he's probably the best Devils columnist out there. Unfortunately, he has a tendancy to see (and write about) discontent, controversies and discord when they aren't there. He'll also spew out a "sky is falling" article every so often. But overall, he's solid. Exit56 10-17-2006, 12:51 PM There's a fairly simple equation to follow in terms of coverage of the Devils. New Jersey Papers (The Record, Ledger, Asbury Park Press) = Good Coverage New York Papers (Brooks, Neverson, etc) = Bad coverage due to thanks to bitterness of not being cool enough to cover the rangers... crashlanding 10-18-2006, 03:00 AM There's a fairly simple equation to follow in terms of coverage of the Devils. New Jersey Papers (The Record, Ledger, Asbury Park Press) = Good Coverage New York Papers (Brooks, Neverson, etc) = Bad coverage due to thanks to bitterness of not being cool enough to cover the rangers... Correct me if I'm wrong but don't the APP and the Home News have the same coverage of the Devils? If so, their coverage is pretty awful. | ||
