looks like they haven't completed the roster on the ECHL website. There is still only 7-8 names there. Who else is playing on the team? Lowell can't keep a 30 man roster. Have some guys been returned to their jr .teams? I thought they were too old? Can anyone update?

The player either plays for the NHL team, or they go back to their junior team. I am pretty sure it is in the NHL's agreement with the CHL.

Heres a list of their roster.

So far Lowell has only sent Mike Pandolfo down but I would think they are going to send down more. Mark Pandolfo also appears to have signed a contract(neither with Trenton or us) so we now have the two Pando bros and their cousin in our organization.
John Laliberte is listed as a defenceman and he is a forward. Played both left wing and right wing last year at BU.

If a player was 20 yrs old an NHL team has the option of sending him back to major junior or assigned him to the minors, but 18 and 19 yr old players must go back to junior if they don't make the NHL team. The junior aged player can't be called up during the season but is allowed to play up to 10 NHL games before being sent back to junior, that is why you see some teams keep junior aged players for a part of the season to get the players some pro experience and give them a good look at the pro level. The one exception where a 18-19 yr old can play in the AHL is if a European comes over and he doesn't play any games in junior, an example of that is Nicklas Bergfors. And as Puddy said, it is in the NHL's agreement with the CHL, it's there to keep junior aged talent in the CHL instead of the minors.
