Why let facts get in the way of assaulting Lamoriello. If it isn't the NHLPA getting mad because Brodeur and Stevens signed for less than market-value a few years back then it is GMs getting mad at how Lou always has a plan.

The ending seems positive as it relates to Lou Lamoriello:

It's in the rules put into play by NHL commissioner Gary Bettman, a lawyer, Daly, a lawyer, and NHL Players Association boss for the moment Ted Saskin, also a lawyer. For the record, it's the law that all GMs must work under, hence there's nothing "ugly" or "stinky" about it.

Unless of course you're a general manager who doesn't know the rules or how to use them
