Your thoughts on Tulupov

Hi guys,

I'm living near Chicoutimi where one of your prospect, Kirill Tulupov, plays junior. Went to see him yesterday and seriously, I have been reeeeally impressed by him. At his first game with the team he showed that he had a great shot and great vision. He was really the QB on PP.

I'd like to have your thoughts on the kid...

We actually don't know much about him besides what came up during the draft, and you know how all that stuff is, it's all praise.

He's only been really noticed about 8 months ago at the 8(?) Nations Tournament where he played for Russia and impressed so we're really interested in what you see from him.

I posted earlier that I saw him scrimmage with his old team the Bradford Rattlers(Jr.A) and never thought he was anything special. There was easily 5 guys I would have taken over him that were on the ice that day, and that is tier 2 junior hockey.

It was a scrimmage, and that is a tier 2 junior hockey scrimmage. I doubt he was putting in that much effort.

:p: The guy must have been having fun there with no intantions to prove something to somebody before going to Chicoutimi and fight for a spot in the line-up.He did it.What do you think it takes to become a top russian blueliner at the U-18 WJC held in Sweden this year?What about staying to the end at the Devils camp and not be sent home right away as many rookies were in many other teams? That is why he missed the first 10 games for Chicoutimi.I listened to his first game for Sags where they downed Huskies 4-1.It was the first win after 5 losses in a row.As the radio man said Tulupov* appearance was not the last factor in that victory.Buy a ticket and see my partner when playing for Toronto Rattlers.Au revoir.:yo:

I was at that game... and I can tell you I was impressed with his shot...always on the net...and when I say always I mean...always!!!! Always low and well placed, he was dominating IMHO on the PP and from what I heard from people following the Sags more then myself , people will call him the Tulutrain soon since he can hit hard! BTW He missed the 10 first games for Chicoutimi because of Visa Problems.
