Caveat: The last prediction that I made here was that JSG would be traded on or about the Entry Draft weekend. Okay, so my crystal ball's a little cloudy. Take it for what it's worth.

For those of you arguing about whether Chistov will, or should, be on the Second Line or the Fourth Line, I predict that he will be a healthy scratch tomorrow night. No inside information, just a hunch.

and it doesn't look like JSG will be traded anytime soon unless one of the goalies becomes unhappy with the situation.

as for your prediction..that's not going out on a limb.

Chistov and Green have been skating as the odd men out the last few days in practice so I don't think your making much of a prediction.

You're right. It's extremely unlikely that either goalie will be traded in the near future because (1) it's unclear which guy is our number one goalie and (2) there's no market for goalies at this time. However, I'd say there's a good chance one of them gets moved around the trade deadline if (1) one of the guys clearly establishes himself as the number one man, (2) both are healthy, (3) the Ducks need some more scoring punch and (4) they can acquire the scorer by trading one of the goalies.

I think it's unlikely that Burke will hang onto to Jiggy till the end of the season without a new contract. I don't think Burke will let him walk without receiving any compensation for him. (Maybe the Pens would be willing to trade us Karl Stewart for one of our goalies.)

Then again, the goalie situation may be changing even as we speak. Vokoun has given up 7 goals to Chicago, and Khabibulin has given up 5 to Nashville. And it's not over yet.

DiPietro's given up about a million to the Coyotes. That contract's worth taking on, right?

From what I can gather at FOF Burke basically said neither goalie will go anywhere as he's comfortable with their salary situations of course he could be lying.

Vokoun KILLED my fantasy team tonight..

Well, if he doesn't work out for the Isles this year, they can always buy him out. Let's see, $31.5-million spread out over 28 years . . .
