Ducks Autographs

Hello: can anyone tell me how to get the ducks players autographs...Either at practice or at the game? Please be specific

I am coming down from Washington, and my son loves the ducks and would like to meet them....

Any help would be greatly appreciated...

Player parking lot at the Honda Ponda is on the North side, I believe its north, the side furthest from Katella....

Took my cousin there after a game a few years ago and had good success getting them to sign his jersey, with all but Kariya...but thats for another thread.

Not too sure about practice though. Someone else like Aeryn may have better insight to that...

If you're waiting after a game, be prepared to wait a while....

If your trip down here coincides with practice sessions at Anaheim Ice, then that's the best place to get sigs, IMO.

You can catch the guys without a big crowd around, most of them will stop for fans--no fuss, no muss.

Games can be hit or miss, it's kinda hard to stop a moving vehicle and you can end up waiting a very, very long time as Saba pointed out. (And, yes, the player's lot is on the North side but many of the guys park in the "tunnel" so they are already in their cars and they may or may not stop at the security shack to sign.)

As a last resort, you can try to catch the guys after practices or morning skates at the Pond. I know some people who make waiting outside the Pond an almost daily ritual but, IMO, it's pretty boring because you can't get in to watch practice so you're just milling around until they start trickling out the door. I recommend this as a last resort if you don't have any luck either after a game or at AI.

thanks to you both for the replies...very helpful...now, i am not a pro at this...so my kid wants to see Pronger, Teemu and Jean-Sebastian....If I was to wait at Anaheim Ice, how would I know what car they drive..You guys seem to have success so, you might now that answer..

no idea what kind of cars they drive...the best bet is to get to them before they are in their cars. If they get in....well just look in the window.

Usually almost everyone in the audience leaves and then most of the players come out one by one through the same door that they came in through. It is awesome. I got almost everyone's autograph this way. :)

Yep, this is the way to go.

But make sure you wait until AFTER they've showered and changed. Most of the guys are still "in the zone" as soon as they come off the ice and are not in fan mode.

And, just a personal request because it's a pet peeve of mine, please know who the players are. I can't tell you how many times I've been asked, "Who is/was that?" :shakehead

Pronger is a nice guy for autographs.I live in Calgary and when he was trying out for the Olympic team in 2002,he was signing autographs left and right.

I remember always catching them after games, back in 2001-2003 time frame, and everyone I talk to says kariya was a B**** to get signed but I never had a problem with him, one time my friend was joking with him and he gave him some mini soap bar or something like that I cant remember.

No, they only practice at AI on non-game days when something else is happening at the Pond. Randy hates practicing at AI so he avoids it at all costs.

and from what i am told, the visiting teams stay at the Westin Hotel??? Is that confirmable?

Hello Everyone from California..So I arrived on Friday and on Saturday went down to Anaheim Ice..My kid had a blast watching the Ducks practice right in front of his eyes..though we tried getting sticks when they went into the locker room with NO success, we were the only ones outside waiting for autographs!! YES, the only ones!!! We got Pronger, JS and Teemu...My kid was so excited. He got to wave to all the other players and shake Scott's hand......Thanks again.. Were going to the Detroit and Minnesota game this week...

By the way, I myself am a fan of Marion Gaborik...Anyone know if we get his autograph at the Pond or hotel? Or where we can get visiting teams auto?
