27 of the GMs responded to a poll about the best teams and best player and goalie. We're hugely favored to not only be the best Western Conference team, but also the Stanley Cup Champs. We're getting a little too much attention if you ask me.

My big question is... since SI picked us to win the cup but didn't have us on the cover... what's the true jinx. Is it only SI cover jinx or is it SI prediction jinx?

Regardless, the chances of the Ducks winning are WAY higher than they have ever been before. I'll take that every time over the teams we've had in the past.

they are looking at the potential of the kids.. they were outstanding last year and now with 1 year exp, they think that they will be good. plus the acquisition of Pronger

The Ducks are my pick to win the Cup, too...and now that worries me. The only time I picked a Cup winner at this point in the season was Detroit's last one - but the Flyers were the consensus pick that year. As such, if everyone's thinking "Ducks", it'll likely be someone else since everyone guns for the top team, and the hockey gods always seem to look disfavorably upon being the favorite and visit woe upon them.;)
I'm hoping it's the Panthers - then I can accept being wrong:D That's a hell of a longshot, though.

Majority of ESPN's analysts picked us to win the Cup this year. I noticed a disturbing trend during last season's playoffs. Against the Flames, majority of the ESPN analysts picked the Flames to win. Against the Avalanche, majority of the ESPN analysts picked the Avalanche to win. Against the Oilers, majority of them picked us to win. They're bad luck!:madfire:
