Munro Called Up to Admirals
GOALTENDER BECOMES FIRST GLADIATOR TO ADVANCE TO AHL
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – NOVEMBER 19, 2003
The Gwinnett Gladiators announced today that goaltender Adam Munro has been called up to the Norfolk Admirals of the American Hockey League.
“We are proud of Adam and this is a great opportunity for him,”
said Gladiators General Manager Steve Chapman. “He’s a good
solid goaltender who has the tools for success at the AHL level."
In six games this season, Munro has posted a 2.76 goals against average and a .894 save percentage and a 4-1-1 record.
A first round draft pick of the Chicago Blackhawks in the 2001 NHL
entry draft, Munro joins the Blackhawk’s AHL affiliate, Norfolk, after
attending the NHL’s Ottawa Senators and AHL’s Grand Rapids
Griffins training camps back in September.
