Oh thanks a lot, that list is pretty useful - every board should get a sticky like that.

Penner is GOOD. :D

Thanks DFC.

Ditto. :)
Haven't been able to listen to most of the games so this is helpful.

I know you guys get the Chistov question a lot, but how has he looked in camp and in the preseason games? Does he look more motivated, and like a different player than the last time you saw him?

Looks good, been throwing his body around, passing well. Seems motivated for once.

BUMP: Updated after tonight's SO loss to the Nucks.

Penner continues his rise up the rankings. I believe he is now tied for 1st PLACE in the NHL for total points in the pre-season. Awesome. :)

He looked pretty good in camp but has been kind of invisible in the games. The ones I've seen him in he wasn't an offensive factor at all but seemed he learned how to forecheck. Listening to the game last night, didn't hear his name much. With Kuntiz and Penner playing so well I'd say he'll be relegated to third line duties. Doesn't bother me though because his best season was on the third line.

I thought Shannon has 4 assists. 2 on Wed, 1 Sat and 1 Sun...plus the goal Sun.

Yep, your right. Sorry about that. :)

And welcome to the boards NYDucky!!! :) :) Hope you have fun here!!! :) :yo: :yo: :yo:

I think you are our first NY based Duck fan, so your role as NY spy is very important. :D

Thanks for the warm welcome! I will do my best to represent east coast Ducks fans well--although I am more of a reader than a poster. I appreciate all of the coverage you guys provide. Until Center Ice starts up, you guys are my only connection to the team since my radio doesn't seem to pick up 830 :sarcasm: and the various internet feeds don't work on my mac

BUMP: Updated for last night's 5-4 SO loss. McDonald's three point right took him to the top of the list with 7 points in only 3 games. Pronger moves to the top of the defensive list with his 3 PP assists yesterday.

:)

NOTE: Brent is now tied with AndyMac in goals foraged with each having 4 apiece. Most impressive.

I'll be excited when Andy Mac scores 7 points in 3 regular season games. I'll be uncontrollably ecstatic when he does it in the playoffs.

question(s) about that USA Today stat sheet

Do the asterisks stand for the rookies?
And if so wouldn’t Shane O'Brien be considered a rookie?
Or am I just off my rocker?

snarktacular
09-28-2006, 12:20 AM
Whoa, according to the USAtoday site... Tim Brent is tied for 2nd in goals in the NHL! For preseason of course... and it's probably the last time this will EVER be true, but still. And Penner is tied for 3rd in total points. Perhaps bodes well for our future.

Sure looks like it.

(Asteriks stand for rookies). Maybe an error with O'Brien, because he would definitely qualify as a rook.
