Thanks for the inside info Aeryn. That's another solid lineup, but probably not as strong as last games. The thing I do not like about this lineup is Fedoruk playing with the "twins". I don't want to see him there during the regular season. He's a good enforcer, but should get 4th line minutes only IMO. Also I wish Skinner was the one paired with Pronger.
Aeryn 09-21-2006, 11:08 PM No prob...I hope I transcribed it correctly though...I'm on the verge of passing out.
Ditto on Skinner. I'd really like to see him get a closer look but I don't think he's even "in the running" for that lone d-spot.
Side note: He's kinda bummed that his first game is against his old team. :(

So do you work around where the lineups are posted or something? How do you know about Skinner?
duckyman 09-21-2006, 11:17 PM those lines are balanced pretty well but I would have put Chistov with Getzlaf and Perry. Just to see how the'd do together.
I wonder if Chistov will be infront stirring things up again(on the PP).
Aeryn 09-21-2006, 11:23 PM So do you work around where the lineups are posted or something? How do you know about Skinner?
They pack up the gear at AI. The Equip. Mgr. works off a sheet of paper that has the lines on it...so I look down from the stands and read it. :D
As for Skinner, I told him that I was looking forward to seeing him play tomorrow night (talked to him earlier in the week) and his response was, "Yeah, my first game...and I get to play against my old team!" And just the way he said it, I could tell he was a bit upset. Nothing major, just bummed. I had to apologize to him because I didn't even make the connection even though we talked about the Moose earlier this week. (In my defense, I'm working on about 9 hours sleep in two days) :help:
Aeryn 09-22-2006, 09:12 AM Add Moen to that list....OC Register is reporting that he'll play tonight and, now that I think about it, his sticks were lined up on the wall. Can't figure out who's extra on my list though.:dunno:
Hmm, it might be Fridge. Don't recall seeing his sticks on the wall....

any reason why Stewart, Melin, and Ferguson aren't going with the team? Hurt? Sent down? I expected Melin and Stewart to be some of the last cuts on the team.
Aeryn 09-23-2006, 02:18 AM Don't know. Not hurt as far as I know, Stewart and Melin are fully particpating in practices. Can't recall if I've seen Ferguson recently though, he's one I lose track of.
Melin was actually sitting in my seats tonight...(I didn't have the heart to kick him out) ;) and I don't know how good his English is so I didn't want to bother him to ask (looked like he was with family or friends).
Duckstudd269 09-23-2006, 02:38 AM I wish the Ducks would take the three, because personally I want the star players to only play 1 out of 3 games. They've shown they can perform and don't look like they have any rust, so rest them as much as possible.
Ducksforcup 09-23-2006, 03:55 AM First off Aeryn, thanks for the info. :) Much appreciated! :) I am eating it up. :D
Secondly, what is your opinion of Skinner? I am curious about the guy.
Thirdly, do you possibly have a reason for why Rome and Wirtanen haven't played yet? Is it just because of depth or other reasons?
Thank you, thank you in advance! :) :yo: :handclap:
BowDown2Chistov 09-23-2006, 07:13 AM First off Aeryn, thanks for the info. :) Much appreciated! :) I am eating it up. :D

I know ur not asking me but if skinner was #50 which Im pretty sure he was, he looked really good today a couple of times he took it up ice and had awsome dekes. I thought he was a forward untill I saw it was skinner. I belive he was the one that faked shot around the defencemen and got it to perry for a perfect rap around.

Well, the vet-vets are staying home and only playing 2 of 4, it's mostly the young-vets that could play 3 of 4.
And, frankly, some of them have shown a little rust. Corey got "called into the principal's office" after Game 1 and Randy has made it clear that just as guys can play their way ONTO the team, they can also play their way OFF the team.

No prob! :D
Skinner -- (yes, he's #50 so the post above is relevant) I really like Skinner, not only is he a decent player but he's been very cordial at practices. (Sorry, it's a chick thing...I value their off-ice behavior and attitude highly. I don't care if you're god, if you have a bad attitude I want to see you gone.)
But I was watching him pretty closely last night and he seemed to be doing most everything right.
However, he's entirely expecting to be in Portland this year. I spoke with him earlier in the week and he was talking as if Anaheim wasn't even a possibility. And not in a bad or upset way, just that he expects the spot(s) to go to other guys this time around.
He did have two assists last night, not bad considering he wasn't looking forward to playing against his old Moose teammates.
Rome -- To be honest, I hadn't noticed he hadn't played. It's hard to keep track of 40+ guys. Don't know why...and, now that I'm looking again, he's not on either of my rosters for this weekend...hmm, must have counted wrong somewhere. Ah, damn! I've got it...they were packing 16 bags yesterday and I was thinking that left 4 high-and-dry but I should have added 1 because group B is 1 heavy. I guess he falls into the Melin, Ferguson, Stewart category.
Wirtanen -- Not sure why he hasn't been playing. I was watching him yesterday and he's got some decent skills. He should be playing this weekend though. Yesterday he was practicing with Shannon/Penner and the three of them looked pretty good. (Though I've unofficially adopted the Penner/Marchant/Shannon line so no matter how much I like the kid....he's not staying on that line) ;)
Aeryn 09-23-2006, 09:27 AM One more tidbit about the lines:
Miller -- Spoke with him yesterday and mentioned that I liked seeing him play with the "twins". His face lit up, he had a blast playing with Corey and Ryan. He said it was a fun game all-around, loved the Fridge fight! (Guess he didn't see too many of those at MSU ;))
snarktacular 09-23-2006, 11:17 AM Aeryn, are you sure your initals aren't RC?
Thanks for all the info. It helps us stuck far away from Anaheim to keep track of what's going on.
Aeryn 09-23-2006, 11:29 AM When have you ever seen/heard RC be this verbose? :sarcasm:
Though we do share a few commonalities...like a favorite four-letter word.
cheesymc 09-23-2006, 12:59 PM Thanks Aeryn! Love the updates!

Update on Ferguson: The reason I haven't seen him...he was cut Thursday morning.
