I'm talking a package like Elias, Hale, Bicek, 1st rounder for him. He's not going anywhere, Washington managment has said as much. Bondra on the other hand I think can be had for a pretty reduced price. I personally think Bondra would be a god send to this team. IMO, Lou will lock him up long term before he ever hits UFA, $7-8 million per year. I remember Scott Oak (from CBC) saying a quote like "I have my run ins with Lou, but I'd rather be playing in June than not" or something like that during the playoffs last year. I immediately thought of Niedermayer. Let's face it, this franchise would be in a bit of trouble if Niedermayer left in FA.
