I think that these four tryout players are the ones who have the best chance of getting signed.
Also, J.P. is playing, which is interesting, but not surprising.
LETS GO DUCKS!!! :) :yo: :yo: :yo: :D  :handclap: :walrus:
dafranchz 09-12-2006, 09:14 PM Ducks win 2-1 with an overtime goal from Ryan Carter.

So, Ryan Carter is the team's leading goal scorer with 3. Good to see that he did so well. :)
Randall Graves* 09-12-2006, 09:33 PM So guys named Ryan scored like half the goals during the tournament...did Ryan Carter actually play like a power forward for those that were there? who does he play like?
hockeydemon05 09-12-2006, 09:33 PM Sweet we won the consolation game :D
Thanks Jeff D.

That's so wrong but it feels so riiiigghhtt! Ahh....
Ryan scored in the first. I don't know if it was a nice pass or a broken play but the puck fell on his stick 5 ft in front of the left wing post. Open net and Ryan put it in.
Carter scored in OT from a bad angle. I didn't see who made the sweet pass (maybe Ryan) but he one timed it in from the right side post.
Player of the game for the Ducks was Levaseur. Maybe my opinion is skewed after Perricone and McKee sucked up the place but Levaseur was great in net. He soaked up the rebounds and stood tall against the shooters.
We actually won after losing 6-1. Cool.

Yesterday, the Ducks scratched all their best players to give all the undrafted invitees a chance to play. Sorry but I never want to see Perricone in a Ducks jersey ever again.

Any undrafted invittes you see getting a contract?
Sorry for all the questions, but I am just so curious. :D

Maxwell is the only tryout player I can see get a contract.

I only saw one game when he played against Phoenix. He played and looked smaller than I thought he would (but maybe its because he lined up against the giant Hanzal kid). He does have decent wheels but hes no Shannon/Kunitz.

I remember Kunitz in his first training camp. I thought the kid got good skills but he's like an average speed Andy MacDonald. Boy did Kunitz get alot quicker. Carter is what? 23? He's going to get better playing more games in Portland.
snarktacular 09-13-2006, 09:10 AM Sorf of off topic, but why would any undrafted invitees even come to Anaheim, considering it's close to or at the 50 contract limit?
Pwnasaurus 09-13-2006, 10:38 AM To get noticed in general?
snarktacular 09-13-2006, 11:02 AM I guess it makes more sense for a rookie tournament like this, since there are three other teams to see them. I see almost no incentive for them to attend our training camp though, no one will see them but the Ducks front office.

Well, hes already 23 yrs old, and Kunitz was more impress his first year. Plus, you never know how a player is going to adapt with better competition. You can be a Kunitz and completely dominate, or you can be a Glencross and dominate the rookie tourney yet be a real disappointment in the AHL.

I think he's still shaken from that Vancouver Giant beatdown he took in the WHL finals last year. :)
Seriously though, he had a great season in Moose Jaw and helped his team get to the finals. I noticed he had a problem recovering after he let in a bad goal, his body language told it all.
