Yeah it doesn't look like the ducks are playing to win. Understandable I suppose.

Granted, it's more important to get a look at all the guys. Still, it would be nice if they were at least mildly competitive.
On a side note, have any of you SoCal posters noticed how little coverage this tournament has received in our local newspapers?
dafranchz 09-11-2006, 09:10 PM 6-1 Sharsk - SH goal Gajda...game is done.
Spankatola Jamnuts 09-11-2006, 09:41 PM Look on the bright side! At least we

Oh, this made me LOL. :biglaugh: :biglaugh: Good one.
Jerky Leclerc 09-11-2006, 10:41 PM Perricone was horrible. He left rebounds all afternoon and couldn't stop a beach ball.
The best player for Anaheim was Skinner. He is a pretty good player.
Wow, we really sh** the bed this time.
Am I the only one that thinks we were bound to do much better or does this comes as no surprise to everyone else?

I don't put a ton of stock in rookie games, nor will I get too bent out of shape if the Ducks are less-than-stellar in their pre-season games. (You can probably add "early-season games" to the list, although I am tired of the Ducks almost always starting slowly.)
That said, this could be an indication that our nearest rivals have an edge on us when it comes to what's in the pipeline. Way too early to push the "panic button", though.
Pats Fan 09-12-2006, 03:17 PM How did Justin Bernhardt (Sharks) look?

But see that's the thing, our rookie team didn't really represent our pipeline at all. We've still got a lot of talented players that are going to Portland that didn't play. There were a lot of try-outs too so I definitely wouldn't put much stock in it at all.
Pwnasaurus 09-12-2006, 03:38 PM Is it too early to start to get concerned about Bobby Ryan?

Since he didn't play against the Sharks on Monday, I say no. Hopefully he gets to play today.

Of corse it is but this obviously tells me we will be scrutinizing every day of camp for him until the beginning of the season. Oh well, everything else about this team is just about set in stone so I guess we have to debate about something. :dunno:
