Avery4Byng 11-14-2003, 01:07 PM Big Mac you have Kelowna rated too low. Van has them about right maybe too high. I would say theyre about from 3rd-7th somewhere. But if your thinking about boring hockey they would be #1. Getting sick and tired of watching their crap defense first no fighting hockey. :cry:

Ya Kelowna way too low... In last month (since Gorges and Paddock back) they have beaten Kamloops 2x are 1 win and 1 tie with Vancouver beaten Swift Current and Prince Albert as well as 1win an 1 loss to Red Deer... It may be boring to watch but they should defenitly be in top 5...Vancouver and Kamloops are way overratted to IMO...

Vancouver and Kamloops are not overated buddy, just because we dont lull other teams to sleep with a crap players style llike the Rockets. That system is built for less skilled players.

Well, perhaps not overrated but should not be rated above Kelowna... No matter what "system" is used it doesnt matter... Wins are wins and Kelowna had beaten Kamloops 2x in last 2 games and are 1 win and 1 tie with Vancouver last 2 games... Guess we will find out tonight and tuesday (Kelowna plays van tonight and tues) if the "boring style" continues to work... :)

Well they were already hammered against Kamloops at the beginning of the year using their style so it can be beaten.

Sure it can be beaten, (any system can); yes Kamloops hammered Kelowna early in the year - (like I say before Georges and Paddock were back) but as the old saying goes "what have you done for me lately?"... The thread was about the ratings of the teams "now" and Kelowna has proven against the so-called higher ranked teams that they can beat them (and have)... So they should be ranked above them...

ANYWAYS their 'crap style' is boring to watch but it works. and Van yes I will still cheer for them if they win the cup this way...... will you consider cheering for them?
Canadian Chris 11-15-2003, 01:49 PM Depending on who else is playing for the Memorial Cup come May, I may or may not cheer for the Rockets.
They are one of my least liked teams in the WHL...not sure why, I've just never ever really liked them.
But say, if Kamloops or Kootenay by some chance get through to the Memorial Cup, you can bet I'll chear for them before I chear for the Rockets.
I think I'd only cheer for the Rockets if the Hitmen, Raiders, TCA or Regina made it to the Memorial Cup

edit: 3 games in hand on Van and 1 on 'loops wont be long till we first in BC div :handclap:

Van has a nice young team but something is missing :confused: ... Kelowna looks to be the most discaplined and well coached team I have seen since they have been here... Kelowna vs Kamloops this weekend should be a good one... I would say winner of that should be ranked #1 in whl...
Still think we gonna need a sniper bad though... So many missed opportunities again...
