Did he do this while with the Devils? How did he perform in this position? Appreciate the info! Sykora flourishes in open spaces where he can rip his laser one-timer. He will do very well on the point. Claude Lemieux actually did a great job with the Avs in that capacity once upon a time. Sykora scored a huge goal in the 2000 SCF vs. Dallas on the point, on the powerplay. Belfour got a piece of the puck, but floated by him. Yes he did play some,and for the Rangers I believe.....but cant really recall anything that magical, he was on out second unit like classic said under Robinson. He was A-W-F-U-L on the point for us. Dreadful. This is a clearcut case of addition by subtraction for New York. I think Sykora is going to be a good fit with the Oilers.
