Yeah, this is really tough. At least my three finalists have votes so far, I went with Voros. I like what I've read about him.

This is actually a good thing. This means that we have great depth (at least at forward). I mean Bergfors, Zajac, etc were all givens, but this is when we really seehow good everyone in the organization is.

I went with Eckford based on some posted material about him this past year. Good offensive talent (wasn't he a forward for a while at Surrey?) with a mean streak and good size. Pihlman, Parise, Voros and Clarkson are intriguing too, but Eckford has made some good strides the past couple of years. He could be a Devil in 2 years. Pihlman should be up before that, but will he stay? Parise should be up and down in that time. Clarkson is a sleeper because I have hardly seen anything about him other than his temper and scoring touch. And Voros might be in the wrong place considering our depth at forward right now. Eckford is my boy at 11.

Yup, Eckford is a converted forward and after reading that article someone posted on him he seems to be making the transition nicely. He still sounds a little weak on the defensive side, but being a former forward that's to be expected. I don't know if he'll be with the team in two years, I wouldn't be surprised if he finished out his college career at UAF and then spent a year in Lowell.

Voros. From what I have read it seems he is a versatile role player.

Since this is so close between Pihlman and Voros I'll keep it open a little longer.

I give you credit for making up the list of the "top 11 prospects, but really, out of your entire list of top prospects.....only about 3 or 4 will ever actually make the Devils lineup on a regular basis. Ahonen for a few years has been a top prospect....how many games has he played with the Devils????

Here is a list the Hockey News put out earlier this year of the top 10 Devils prospects which I feel is more realistic:

1) Zajac (Overall prospect in the NHL - 21)
2) Bergfors (Overall prospect in the NHL - 38)
3) Frazee
4) Sublobov (yes he's moved on; at publication time he was a Dev)
5) Ahonen
6) Vrana
7) Tallackson
8) Pihlman
9) Davis
10) Ryznar

My vote for the overall top Devs prospect is Zajac. Loved watching him play in the BCHL when he came to Victoria to play against the Salsa.

Thanks, but I'm shooting for the top 20.

And I'm not the one deciding, I just put the options up. The other Devils fans are the ones who picked these players.

I know it's my choice to click on your post, I know I don't have to read them....but this is my opinion (you are entitled to your's as well), I think this whole idea is kinda tacky. Again, I'm entitled to my opinion and I've expressed it...have fun with it list.

Thank you for being respectful and civilized. I can understand your viewpoint, about how many player probably won't make it to the NHL. I disagree, I think that we have to give everyone a chance, who knows, we might get a surprise.

I certainly don't understand the viewpoint.

What does the probability of these players making it to the NHL have to do with the concept of voting on prospects? How is this idea tacky!?
