Here is Elias's Line right now:
GP
596
G
223
A
281
Pts
504
Johny Mac's Team Record Line is
GP
934
G
347
A
354
PTS
701
So Patty needs 197 Points and he has 338 Games to do it. That's .58 Pts per game. Will he make it?
Also Patty needs 496 more points for 1000, he has seven years left on his contract (7*82) is 574 more games in a Devils Uni, so he needs .86 pts per game. Will he make it?

I think he makes it by like 200 points in the long run.

honestly I think he will.
Elias - Parise - Bergfors, in the future should be an awesome line I would imagine with Elias being able to shelf a lot of points.

By 200 points over MacLean (901 or so) or 200 over 1000 (1200 or so) ?????

Question: Is Gomer still on a line with Gio?

Breaking them up would be about the dumbest thing Julien could do.

Will he make it?Barring an injury, he should fairly easily overtake John MacLean's Devils career records for goals and points. Scott Gomez might take the record for assists if he re-signs with the Devils after 2006-07.
One thousand career points is certainly obtainable. Patrik has played for the Devils for seven seasons, including 2005-06 which saw him miss about half the season with hepatitis A, and he has gotten half way to the mark. He just needs to nearly duplicate his 504 points over the next seven seasons.
Should Elias reach that mark, he should be a strong candidate for the Hockey Hall of Fame.
Lastly, here are the career numbers as Devils for Elias and MacLean using the tags,[CODE]
DEVIL GP G A PTS
Elias 596 223 281 504
MacLean 934 347 354 701

One of my favorite moments at a Devils player dinner was when I brought my old Johnny Mac jersey up to elias and asked him to sign the back. Patty held it up and with that big grin of his he said to me I am so honored to sign this jersey. :)

He seems like he admires Devils history.

By the future I mean like 3-5 years down the road, not right now.
I dont think we will have Gomez in about 3 years time, which allows Parise to slip into that center spot, and by then Bergfors should be a star like we all hope he will be, and will push Gionta (if hes still at the team) for that 1st line spot on the RW

Then we will either have him for four to seven more seasons, or he will not be a Devil in 2007-08.
