It's between Vrana and Greene. I went with Greene because I believe he will see action with the big club this coming season.

Vrana, I'm sorry but this fan hype over Greene is too much. There have been so many defensmen comming out of the college ranks as top recruits who ended up floating around the AHL. Thats Mattau guy we picked up is one of them.

I've heard really good things about Vasyunov over in Russia playing with Lokomotiv 2. The guy has the potential to be a real sniper. However, gotta give the edge to Vrana.

I hear what you're saying, but I voted for Greene in the last ballot. If I changed now I'd just be a hypocrit.

I wouldn't exactly call it "fan hype", unless you include Lou as a fan. I mean he did pay him almost a million dollars. They had to have seen something they liked.
And, comparing him to Mottau isn't fair. I watched both of their college careers and Andy Greene is much more prepared for the new NHL.

Pihlman, though he wont wow anyone i feel he was just as good as tallackson when recalled and i feel he showed alittle more energy/hustle and desire. In the AHL i think he has showed he can be solid defensively as well. I really feel he could easily be plugged into the 3rd or 4th line this year.
