Nielson81 11-10-2003, 08:23 PM Hey Guys,
Looks like John Lammers will be dealt within the next 3-4 days.
He doesn't want to play in Lethbridge anymore and has requested a trade.

Nielson81 11-11-2003, 07:48 AM Link?
Source is inside the club

Canadian Chris 11-11-2003, 01:59 PM Does he need a source? Seriously, if it's something he's heard, and there isn't a "published" source, then what is the big deal?
goteam 11-11-2003, 03:29 PM I agree. If anybody would have "sources" within the team Van, it would be UC. Maybe we need to start reading people's previous posts?
Nielson81 11-11-2003, 04:43 PM It isn't published yet, because it came from inside the club.
All I know is that Lammers went to Gm Stocker and said he wants out of Lethbridge, doesn't care where just not there.
You'll see soon enough.

Phaze 11-11-2003, 05:20 PM Kind of seems weird, why not Lethbridge?
He was playing well and was involved in the community.
Nielson81 11-11-2003, 05:34 PM I also thought is sounded odd, but that's what I was told from someone in the office that day.
The only thing I can think of is troubles between Makela and Lammers.

Round John 11-12-2003, 04:22 AM If Lammers is to be dealt what value would he have? I feel it would not be an unsignificant amount perhaps a top forward coming back plus another player? How is John's game in his own end? He has demonstrated an ability to put the puck in the net.

With an attitude like that, I doubt he'll bring back full value.
The Canes are gonna make alot of changes.
Buannan 11-12-2003, 03:03 PM they just announced on the Thunderbird pre-game show (they play Lethbridge tonight) that "Lammers has apparently left the team"
just an FYI

Phaze 11-28-2003, 11:41 PM Apparently he is back practicing with the team. Sorry no link yet.
Monkeyhouse 11-29-2003, 04:20 AM Actually there was a story in The Kelowna Daily Courier this week about this... They asked Hamilton about it and he said most teams in the WHL have had talks but chances are Kelowna would not be interested because he is only 17... I will try to find the article...

Found it... The begining of article talks about Kelowna lack of scoring but ill type the part about Lammers....
As for available forwards, one sniper that's immediatly available is the 17-year old Lammers...Apparently, nearly every team in the league has made a proposal for Lammers.
"We've had discussions certainly," said Hamilton. "We know what they want, but we're not close on (agreeing). And to be honest, (Lammers) isn't on the top of our radar screen because he's 17. If we're going to make a move for a high-end player, it'll probably be someone older."
That is from the Wednesday Nov 26 Courier
Nielson81 11-29-2003, 06:53 AM I disagree with Hamilton, but I agree at the same time.
I agree with him with him rejecting offers from Lethbridge if the Hurricanes are asking for too much.
I disagree with him on the age issue. Hamilton has a free shot at the Memorial Cup. If there is a deal that will help him improve his team between now and the deadline, he needs to make it regardless of the player(s)' age. I am willing to bet money that he wouldn't reject a deal for 16 year-old Gilbert Brulé if he felt the deal was fair.
Lammers has returned to the Hurricanes now, after 2 weeks at his home in Langley.
Appartently things are ok for now.

Yeah I tend to agree with you as well... It also could be just posturing on Hamiltons part to get the price down...
