Who will win Sunday's match? Also, where are you planning on watching it? I will likely go to the Phoenix Landing in Cambridge, Mass. By the way, the city of Boston is putting up a big screen near City Hall, not far from the North End.

I fear the worst for the upcoming years here @ HF boards if France wins, so please let it be Italy. I also think they will and they deserve it too.

I predicted Italy with the poll before the WC started. ;)

France will win. Zidane has carried them this far and there's no reason why he can't bring the World Cup to France.

There are plenty of reasons. To name a few: Cannavaro, Buffon and Lippi.

I hope Italy wins. I think I will watch the game at home with my family but I might go to little Italy

Italy, im going to watch it...

Why Italy? Because the opposing team has yet to score on them. Whether the refs help them or not... they still have a great back 8.

Italy. They are too patient and too skilled this time. If Nesta is back Henry is in for a really tough time.

It is Zidane's curtain call. Every french player will be playing for him and Zidane is just THAT special, he can change a whole game all by himself. And don't forget about Thuram, Gallas Henry and Ribéry, they are very good too! But in the end France is going to win it for their captain!

One other reason, Barthez. If France played Coupet, I'd have voted for France, but Barthez makes David James look steady.

I think France will win it 1-0. I've said before I can't wait for Coupet to take over for Barthez, but I hardly think this will be factor in this final. With France's back four playing so well and Viera and Makalele eating everything up in midfield, Italy will hard pressed to generate offence. I just see Zidane, Ribery and Henry creating some chances and one of them getting the game's only goal.

I agree. The MVP of this WC (IMO) Canavarro is a wall back there, the French will have to take detours to get away from him and if they do....Buffon to the rescue more times than not.

My vote stays the same even if it goes into PK's. Buffon>Bartez. (And no Baggio this time)

The French own they Italians and the French have earned there way to the final beating 3 top tier teams, I can't say the same about the Iatlians who only beat one really big challenge in the qualifying rounds and two sub-par clubs compared to the rest of the 16 in my opinion. France deserve it more, so I'll be rooting for them

Well, I'm not going to change now, am I? ;) The Italians, from the start, were underrated. They've gotten progressively better (bar the US match). They will have their finest game in the final.

My vote stays the same even if it goes into PK's. Buffon>Bartez. (And no Baggio this time)People seem to forget Italy was already toasted before the injured Baggio missed that penalty.Brazil needed a goal on the next shot to win none the less..

And even with Buffon and Barthez i guess Italian players would find the way to lose at penalties as usual.

I voted for France, but that has no link with reasonning, but only with heart.

My heart says France, but my brain says Italy. For me both teams are somewhat similar, but Italy has the better goalie.

I've never cheered for Italy before, but I kind of hope they win this time. They've had a lot of heartbreaks over the years (although who hasn't) and I think they might be due. Plus they owe France for Euro 2000. I don't have anything against France, but they've already won a couple of championships in recent years. Most of all I hope it'll be an exciting game without contraversy (fat chance) and that the deserving team wins.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say at least one of the teams will keep a clean sheet.
