3 In, 3 Out, 3 Rookies

Many of the other boards are doing this, so lets start it here.

Pick three guys you want in for next year (via trade, UFA, etc.), three guys you want out, and three rookies you would like on the team next year. Be reasonable.

Here's mine:

3 in: Kubina, Arnott, Brian Campbell
3 out: Friesen, NONE, NONE
3 rookies: Ryan (7-9 games if he has a good camp), Konopka, Smid

3 in: Chara, Matt Cullen, Chistov
3 out: Friesen...Kunitz not on the 1st line
3 Rooks: Smid, Obrien, Konopka

Note: for the 3 in, I understand both Cullen and Chara wont be gotten, but Id be happy with one or the other.

and we'd go after Cullen why? We already have 5 centers as it is.

Adding a center does fix the LW situation becuase Mac can play wing. Cullen would cost less than Arnott and I felt that was important becuase I already listed Chara as a dman I want....This would be easier than trying to get a LW by trade or FA, where there isnt much in terms of that position after Elias.

Good point, that wouldn't be a bad solution I guess. However, I'd much rather have Arnott then Cullen.

As far as Chara goes; the more I think about him on the team, the more I don't like the idea. They're saying he's going to make no less then 7 million, and that's just to much IMO. I'd rather have Kubina and Arnott.

Just a side not, with Mccabe and Chara getting these big deals; it makes us look like we got a great deal for Scotty. I think he's miles above Chara.

I like this thread, these aren't predictions but wants. To clearify though, I want Grier if we can't get Langenbrunner. Also I feel he have room for one rookie which is why I also have Ryan and Skinner on there.

I know Shanny won't be too popular a choice to other Ducks' fans, but hey I like the guy and wouldn't mind him as one of our LW on a one-year deal :)

I also like Rome over O'Brien, and would not rush Smid into playing yet (maybe a mid-season call up though)

I think Glencross is ready to give him an NHL shot.

no way is Bobby Ryan ready for the NHL.

Actually, I don't think it'd hurt the team or the team's cap salary too much to see Marchant out.
