I'm happy for him. He played great in Game 7.

However, I'm not too happy Tverdovsky has his name twice on the cup.

It was weird watching him with it. Good for him.

I am so glad Edmonton lost.

He was dangerous all season. The new NHL was made for him.

And let's not forget Martin Gerber. 38-14-6 with a 2.78 GAA.

Yeah Cullen was, dare I say, a beast tonight. One of if not the best forwards for Carolina. Good for him.

I remember reading about his heavy workout regimen the summer after being traded to the Panthers when the Ducks went on to the Finals. Glad to see all the hard work pay off.

Yea did anyone else find it selfish Tverdovsky got to celebrate with the cup before the likes of Cole?

How much did Tverdovsky even play for them this season?

The key to the Cup: sign Tverdovsky but don't play him.

At 2.5 million dollar, that's an expensive seat warmer.

But it's a seat warmer that wins. If you play him, you lose.

But it never fails though. Expensive seat warmer, cheap guarantee.

How much did Tverdovsky even play for them this season? He played 72 regular season games - you only need to play half the games to get your name on the cup

... or dress in the finals, which he didn't.

Mike Commodore and Craig Adams both had a cup of coffee in Anaheim too.

Cullen has finally become the legit 2nd line center he was supposed to be in Anaheim.

Congrats to Matt on winning the cup :handclap:

boo Tverdovsky, he does not deserve to have his name on the cup twice.

yeah...interesting how he is in the shadow of a Conn Smythe goalie again...Gerbs will get his pay day on the UFA market this summer though.

I am surprised Matt Cullen still performs the way he does with all the knee problems he has had, I can't believe his knees still work.

Way to go Matt! I was bummed to see him traded but was happy to get Ozo in that trade. Glad to see that not only did he find a home in the NHL but was a key player on a Cup winner. I hope Carney, Rooch and Leclerc all get on the same team next year and if we don't win I want that team to win so all my favorite former Ducks can have rings.

In Adams' case, it was just a sip of coffee. Anyone else find it strange that Mike Commodore couldn't cut it with the Devils, the Ducks, the Flames---wasn't there one other team as well?---and he managed to play significant role on the Stanley Cup champions? I'm not saying he was a key component, but he did get the call over Oleg (who, if memory serves, was the highest draft pick the Ducks ever had---second pick overall---along with Bobby Ryan last year).

A friend of mine always said that Cullen would fulfill his potential somewhere else. Took him quite a while to get there. I'm not sure he'll keep it up (I can't really put my finger on WHY the new NHL is so good for him) but one thing is for sure. Nobody can take this season away from him. Good for him.

I don't think Mike Commodore even got to sniff the coffee in Anaheim. I thought he only played in Cincinnati. I think he got quite a bit of playing time with the Flames during the playoffs, but the Flames have a lot of good defensemen, so he was probably expendable.

Congrats to the ex-Ducks on the Canes (I don't think there were any on the Oilers), especially Gerber and Cullen. It is good to see Cullen finally developing. When he was with the Ducks, I never saw him shoot or pass the puck enough. He would skate, skate, skate and then either loose the puck or his footing.

Its not so much the new nhl (but that plays a factor) its the team he is on. Carolina is so deep at center and so deep overall that he can find himself on the 3rd line with little attention and playing with the likes of Mark Recchi.

I was going to say because the new NHL is less physical.
