Brian Salcido

What do you think his chances are in the future? He's looking like a real nice offensive-defenseman and proving better than 5th round pick...

During the lockout I got to watch him play a lot and I was stoked to hear we got him because he is offensively talented and a local kid. He's definitely going to finish out his college career and then it's off to Portland. He's got a lot of work to do to get into Anaheim but that chance alone has got to be at least three years away. Good luck though to Brian, will be huge to have a So Cal native (born and raised that is) to play for the Ducks.

Everytime I saw him at the Kings Prospect camps a couple years back before he was drafted I thought he looked impressive. He handles the puck well and has a good shot. A very good pickup for Anaheim.

I know we traded up to acquire him so it looks like the Ducks had their eye on him throughout the whole draft. It defitnetley looks like a good acquistion with the added bonus of him being a local guy. :)
