Fedoruk

Fedoruk showed that he can play a regular shift in the "new" NHL and contribute. What I'm curious about, is with all of the young players Anaheim has does he have a place with the Ducks next year and beyond? Will he continue to skate on the top three lines, get relegated to 4th line minutes or moved somewhere else?

Just curious what everyone thinks...

Methinks that he will definetley be re-signed and that he will hold a prominent role on this team. :)

I think is not a question if Fedoruk has a place in this team. The role Fedoruk plays in the team I think can't be filled by anyone as of now. Fedoruk might be the most physical player for Anaheim. He has shown that he can and will stand up for his team mates if necessary.

Honestly I don't think anyone knows. He showed he can skate well, but I don't think anyone here wants him on a line with Getzlaf and Perry. I'd rather see Penner or Lupul with them. I hope Fedoruk gets 4th line minutes personally, but I wouldn't mind an occasional shift on a different line.

Agreed. Fedoruk belongs in Anaheim, and I hope he stays here for a long time. Also, iLau there's no might about it; Fedoruk is the most physical player for Anaheim.

Fridge should probably be on the fourth line with any incoming rooks. It'll lead to quite a few blown scoring chances but there's more to be gained than just goals.

Of course he has a place. Carlyle loves playing enforcers and the Fridge is 1 of the best there is.

I'd like to see him on a line with Pahlsson and Konopka. Many of you probably don't like that idea, but I think that would be our best bet, with our current players anyway.

Penner-Andymac-Selanne
Lupul-Getzlaf-Perry
Kunitz-Marchant-Niedermayer
Fedoruk-Pahlsson-Konopka

Maybe Fedoruk and Niedermayer can switch places for a few shifts, but I like those lines.

If Burke doesn't sign any forwards I could live with this squad. However I'd switch things around. Carlyle won't put a line of three rightie shots together and I also think pairing Getz and Perry doesn't need to continue. Also, Penner needs to improve his foot speed before he takes Kunie's place on the first line. With that lineup I'd have it look like this:

Kunie-Mac-Teemu
Penner-Getz-Lupul
Robbie-Marchy-Perry
Fridge-Sammy-Z

Keep LW's on the left side and RW on the right. But I really think Burke will sign at least one FA forward because relying on Konopka as the only addition is risky.

I agree that this is a good squad, but is it a Stanley Cup squad? I think if this team wants the stanley cup, we will need to sign a top center (Sorry, Andy Mac).

I'd like the ducks to get that prototypical power center too, but it will be hard to move Marchant, but at least he overachieves.

Then again, the Oilers dont have a great center. They have a commitee of guys like Stoll, Horcrof, etc. But id still prefer an big Arnott-type of player or a super leader type like Brind Amour, if not a franchise player like Thornton or Jokinen.

Guesses as to what salary he signs for?
