The group name is hfboards, password is also hfboards.
I'm Stonecutters FC. You pick 23 players and that's only for the group stages. Rules are there if you need them.
Group ID is 29914.
Tuggy 06-06-2006, 11:29 AM I'm in...group id is 29914, which people will need to get in.
Bubbles 06-06-2006, 11:31 AM Sweet. Also, a little quirk is selecting a captain! Whoever is captain for the day has his points doubled.
Evilo 06-06-2006, 11:55 AM I joined.

Ajacied 06-08-2006, 08:28 AM do you have to pick your team before you join the group? all i see are public groups fans of england, fans of france, etc...
Same problem here..
Evilo 06-08-2006, 08:31 AM Pick your team and then join a group.
Being a member of a public group doesn't mean you can't be part of a private group.
Ajacied 06-08-2006, 09:30 AM Something not fully clear to me: The starting line-up your submitting, does it remain unchangable throughout the entire groupfase or can you sumbit new starting line-ups every match?
Kardi 06-08-2006, 09:38 AM Something not fully clear to me: The starting line-up your submitting, does it remain unchangable throughout the entire groupfase or can you sumbit new starting line-ups every match?
you set your roster for that day, every day you can change your roster
Captain Conservative 06-08-2006, 12:23 PM You think?
Do the french actually call themselves frogs or are you being cheeky?
Evilo 06-08-2006, 12:55 PM No, it's a joke for HF. No way we call ourselves this way.
But here on HF, there's no better way of being recognized... :D
TH3 RIDDL3R 06-08-2006, 01:18 PM Im in The Mighty Blue Devils. :)
polako 06-08-2006, 02:19 PM the Soccer Shorts Boners are now ready and anxious to get on the pitch!

:jump: Glad to see someone with a sense of humor about things. You'll need it after I wipe the floor with you in the fantasy league. :D
Bubbles 06-08-2006, 02:49 PM I can't wait for this to start! Lots of people so far, and from different places. This should be fun.
Evilo 06-09-2006, 01:01 AM You'll need it after I wipe the floor with you in the fantasy league. :D
It seems you have a good one too. :D
Captain Conservative 06-09-2006, 01:49 AM It seems you have a good one too. :D
Bonne chance, mon ami. I'll definitely be pulling for the french to come out of their group on top. I've always liked Thierry Henry, and even more now after his decision to stay with Arsenal. I hope Domenach gets his head out of his *** and puts Ribery in the starting lineup, he could be a huge difference maker for france's chance at success.
vitogor 06-09-2006, 09:28 PM Yeah baby, Numero Uno after Day One
By the way, I was looking at the overall leaderboard, and all of them had teams composed entirely of Germany, Costa Rica, Ecuador, and Poland. Do they know that we don't?

No there idiots and probably believed that you could switch entire teams day in and day out which you can't. You can only switch two playes for the entire group stage so there screwed.
Bubbles 06-09-2006, 09:42 PM Actually you can switch 3, if you unlock it.
I was debating on taking Klose, but I eventually took Podolski. I could have picked up 30 points alone by selecting him!!

Yep, you can get another transfer for every stage when you click on the stupid McDonalds thing in the menu (next to "Groups")
Klose singlehandedly got me all my points, all 43 of them, I had him as captain :)
Evilo 06-10-2006, 02:22 AM Ye ame too, but I had Lehmann in nets... :(
Ajacied 06-10-2006, 02:43 AM Ye ame too, but I had Lehmann in nets... :(
Same..
We're tied for 2nd..
Belgian Fan 06-10-2006, 02:59 AM I never pay enough attention to these things, I should have chosen a captain apparently, that would have double Klose's scores.
Bubbles 06-11-2006, 11:58 AM I'm going to be away a lot next week...
So I wont' even get a chance to switch my teams.
If anybody wants to volunteer for me, PM me. I'll give you my password
Just dress the playign players
You can do that now. Just click all the days on the calendar and set up your lineup for that date.
Bubbles 06-16-2006, 12:46 PM LOL, no wonder that GG FUJISAWA is number 1, he's got 12 strikers on his team!
vinnycal 06-16-2006, 03:15 PM Does anyone know whether we can re-make the team after the group stage?? Or we have to carry over the current roster? Thanks

current team but you can transfer a few people.
vitogor 06-16-2006, 10:42 PM If I understand correctly, you can make 3 transfers before the end of group stage, then 3 more before the start of the quarterfinals.
What cheating how can the first guy overall in the whole thing(not the group) not have any defence or goalies
Cannon 06-28-2006, 07:52 AM Gah, im not on this one :(
Evilo 07-09-2006, 03:24 AM Well, well.
Last game, I lead by only 3 points.
Everything's still possible between me and #16....
Once again, I'll die by the sword.
If France loses, I'm probably done...

Holy ****!! I didn't even see that until just now. I thought I was done for sure, you had a nice lead on me. Now my big dilemma is who's gonna be my goalie for the final, I've had Barthez and Buffon as my two keepers from day one.
Evilo 07-09-2006, 04:29 AM Me too.
I've picked Barthez though...
Which should kill me if Italy wins... :D
Bubbles 07-09-2006, 11:30 AM Hopefully I can get into third...I got tons of players in this game.

;) We will see about that

Whoo hoo! I just passed you! Hopefully they give out trophys like the hockey pool. I can add another 3rd place trophy to my name.

Yup you did thanks to Cannavaro, damn Nesta did nothing for me all tourney
vitogor 07-09-2006, 04:37 PM Congrats to Evilo, looks like he took home all the hardware- the fantasy game and the prediction pool. Although I'm sure that he would trade these individual trophies for the big one that got away from his country...
If both of these pools have taught me anything, it's that you have to trust your initial instinct. If you don't, you start over-analyzing and lose. Not to make excuses, but I initially had Buffon as captain for today's game, and then I over-analyzed and switched him for the useless Totti. If I haven't done that, I would've won by half a point!

You two were clearly above the rest of us after the group stages. Congrats to Evilo. I would have a better chance if I didn't take some absolute crap players(fantasy-wise)...Adriano, Gallas, Ronaldinho...
Evilo 07-09-2006, 10:51 PM Thanks guys, and I sure would trade all of this for the France win.
But at least I was consistant in both pools.
