SPORTSNET.CA: reports the Vancouver Canucks and New Jersey Devils are believed interested in hiring Hockey Canada head coach Marc Habscheid. He's expected to meet this week with Canucks GM Dave Nonis, although Manitoba Moose head coach Alain Vigneault is considered the front runner for the vacant Canucks head coach position.

Anyone know what type of coach Habscheid is and the type of game he likes to have his teams play?

I remember him pretty well as a player. If he's Canada's head coach, they must think a lot of him eh?

I'm pretty sure he coached the Kelowna Rockets in the WHL for a few years(someone correct me if I'm wrong please), and those teams that he coached were defense first from what I can remember.

Here's his Internet Hockey Database page ( http://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/pdisplay.php3?pid=2081).

He coached the Kamloops Blazers of the WHL for six plus seasons.

I already posted something similar on the WHL board asking for opinions about his coaching style.
I got no replies.
