lucscaps 05-29-2006, 04:27 PM Does anyone have any pics of Marty from Junior, or from Utica or when Jersey wore the green uni's?
Also pics from when he was playing for the touring teams when the strikes where happening.
Anyone have any"?
David Puddy 05-29-2006, 11:35 PM I don't have any from Juniors, but here is a picture of Marty as a Utica Devil during the 1992-93 season. I also have two pictures of him in New Jersey during his emergency call-up in 1991-92. Note Brodeur's mustache, his #29 and Scott Stevens wearing an "A" in the background of one of the pictures.
The other picture I have included I found on the fan website MartinBrodeur.net. It is of a very young Marty Brodeur. It was taken by a man who served as the official photographer of the Montreal Canadiens for many years, Denis Brodeur -- Marty's father of course. Marty looks like Bobby Brady from the Brady Bunch in this picture.

PEli* 05-30-2006, 08:47 PM I have a pretty insane Brodeur card collection with some real oldies. Including a few Utica cards and a couple of QMJHL cards. I'll have to scan a few and post them.

Yo PEli how many do you have in your collection?
A_Mack17 05-30-2006, 09:15 PM I got about 40 Brodeur cards (i know, not that great) but i stopped collecting about 8 years ago.... dammit cant find anywhere to buy hockey cards here!
i got one of him in a Utica Uniform
lucscaps 05-30-2006, 10:04 PM I've been stocking up my brodeur cards as well, just picked up his two from the qmjhl, don't have any utica ones, but I did just get his russian cards from ebay, the larionov farewell game, and also the world stars tour.
I need his Fetisov farewell card, thats a tough one,
ebay is the best place I know to get his stuff, but it gets real pricey
PEli* 05-30-2006, 10:21 PM Yo PEli how many do you have in your collection?
Somewhere around 275-325. I've got some really weird stuff too. A few cards from the back of boxes of KD, a few playing cards, some coins, etc. I've got a pretty extensive Brodeur collection (including the jersey, puck and card autographed trifecta thanks to my awesome girlfriend) and the usual memorabilia. Bobbleheads, McFarlanes, etc.
Problem with the card collection is that he's got well over 2000 cards and some of them are way too insane for a collector to find. Some one of a kinds and stuff. lucscaps is right about eBay. It gets really pricey. Some players are very sought after by collectors and Brodeur is one of them. His cards usually end highly priced and with furious bidding between collectors. There are two from Montreal who win most of the obscure and rare cards on eBay.

PEli* 05-30-2006, 10:40 PM - Top left is a Heroes and Prospects card from this year.
- Top Right is a card from Duracell card set released across Canada this year.
- Bottom left is his RC. Best old picture available besides the back of the bottom right card which is shown in the second attachment. How's that for a terrible stasch?
Not a lot in my collection involving old pictures. The pre 1992 cards with a few action shots but nothing special.
A few others on eBay that I've got in hard cases (hard to scan).

The logo on the back of the card looks like a stick figure bent over taking it up the ***.

Nice man, I have like 350 or so. Lots of autos and memorobilia too. My Devils binder is full of Devils players that are currently Devils, and then like a thousand more of ex-devils. About the bobble heads and the McFarlanes are they these ones?
Haha I have that 7th inning sketch as well from the Q but man I want that livin' large one. I can't wait to go down to Jersey this summer and visit some card shops and expand the collection.

Maaaaaaaaaaaan the only one in that lot I have is the one from draft day (it's signed by Marty) it's funny I got it off a card dealer in Port Huron Michigan he didn't know who Brodeur was in 96 and sold it to me for 50 cents.

I have a feeling no one in Michigan would have trouble identifying Brodeur after 1995.
Sweet deal though...I bet that guy wants to forget about that little transaction.

Well he knew who he was like "oh he's that goalie who played for the team that won last year." I was like ya, he's not going to be anything special anyways. 50 cents can you believe it. It's actually his sig too, I have enough of them to know it's not fake.

Looks like we've got an identical collection. I don't have the McFarlane on the left though. That looks like a nice one. I'll have to take a picture of the collection as well.

The McFarlane on the left is easy to find, it's the new team canada they released. I remember them having an OLD team Canada one for Marty where he's posed like in the first Marty one and he's also striking the pose in the Messier double pack, I wish I could find the old one as well as the Messier double pack
lucscaps 05-31-2006, 09:02 PM there are usually 6 brodeur/messier packs listed at a time on ebay
