It just shows the perity of "My NHL" and the proof that the new CBA will make it a more balanced and wide spread competitive league.

Congratulations to the team I am now rooting to win the Stanley Cup this year and bring home to the fans in Alberta. Never have I seen a team able to feed of their home fans like Edmonton did at the Rexell Center this postseason.

Great fan support, great for Canada, Great story.

I don't think anyone predicted the Oilers as Western Conference Champions when the playoffs started. It's nice to see a team like the Oilers get to the finals, but as a native Calgarian, if the Oilers win the Cup, we'd never hear the end of it here. I'm not cheering for the Oilers, but I'm not cheering against them if that makes any sense :D :biglaugh:

I agree, nice to see Edmonton advance! Good to have a Canadian team back in the finals :handclap: (and the end of that game was crazy to watch!)

And I must admit, I was quite pleased to see the Ducks knocked out, the thought of Niedermayer winning the Cup without the Devils is too horrible to think about.

You mean Scotty Nied-a-brodeur to win the cup?

I guess it's better to lose with your brother than win against him.

Good riddance you clown. Did anyone see those OLN ads where Niedermayer was posing with the cup trying to look tough? What a joke.

I still want to see a Devils/Ducks matchup in the future, and see the Devils sweep the Ducks. Just so we can watch Niedermayer sulk, and watch a team he had the chance to be a part of raise the Cup.
It's a good thought atleast. LOL.
Kind of like how sweet it was to know Bobby Holik was sitting home on the couch watching the Devils raise the Cup in 2003.

Yeah, that would be nice. Maybe game 4 in NJ, with the fans chanting
"bye-bye Scott-ie clap clap clap-clap-clap
...
bye-bye Scott-ie clap clap clap-clap-clap"

lol, at least Carol won't be so upset. Both of her kids will be equally unsuccessful :biglaugh:

Hey, maybe he can win the Conn Smythe too! How bitter would that be? Just like the stay puffed man won it in 2003, before falling off the face of the earth.

To be honest, I could care less about the Oilers, I Just don't want to see Rob Niedermayer win a cup. ;)

I was happier about seeing Friesen gone. It was bugging me seeing him skate around with the kind of year he had (injury totally aside). When he was healthy, he was a total waste of ice time. And as much as I used to love him, that's how much I hated seeing him still get to play and people saying he could be the key to the series even though he didn't do jack all year and with our hard-working dudes on vacation.

Friesen's a guy that almost never missed a game before this season. The fact that he scored as little as he did early on in Washington must have had to do with the injury.

I'm rooting for Buffalo, but with their back end injuries, they could be in trouble. I hope I'm wrong, but I believe the Canes are going all the way. They have one heck of a team this year.

I think like in 2003, he was benefiting from those he was playing with. It helps him relax his game.

I'm not so sure that it was the injury. But either way, makes no difference. I'm still glad he's out.

If there is any sign from this postseason trend, this long rest for Edmonton will hurt them more then help them.

If Carolina wins Game 6, it won't be so long a wait.
