Carlyle

I think the problem tonight was too many rookey mistakes. The first mistake was by rookey coach Carlyle. Giguere should have been the starter tonight with out a doubt. Then after the bad goal or two, he should have at least made the switch. Then what's up with not playing Pahlsson and Friesen very much? Pahlsson is so good at face-offs and Friesen has a history of scoring in big games. Oh well, rookey coach depends on all the rookey players. Go figure. Don't get me wrong, we have great rookeys but give them a break. Sure hope Burke gets involved before next game or it's all over in 4.

FYI, "rookey" is actually spelled rookie.

You're entitled to your opinion, but it's 20-20 hindsight. As I pointed out yesterday to some Ducks fans who were in favor of starting Jiggy over Bryzgalov last night, going into last night's game, Bryz led all playoff goalies with a 1.10 GAA, a sparking .958 save percentage and three shutouts. For the record, no other goalie has had more than one shutout.

Certainly, a case can be made for starting Jiggy Thursday evening. As the old cliche goes, if we lose that one, there is no "tomorrow". But, if it were up to me, I'd still start Bryzgalov. In my book, one mediocre game, does not overshadow all the others which have ranged from "solid" to "excellent".
