Game 3 - Which Goalie Gets the Start & Why?ILuvLA 05-22-2006, 11:53 PM Bryz or Jiggy? Bryz has played well, although not stellar. Is it time to put Giguere in the net for Game 3? :dunno: lux_interior 05-23-2006, 12:10 AM Giguere. Because he deserves a chance at redemption. Because Bryz should have stopped Pronger's shot. Because we need a change in momentum. Because we have nothing to lose. tm 05-23-2006, 12:16 AM I'm sure this thought is going through the minds of those in charge, as well as those of many Anaheim fans. Bryzgalov has not played badly at all in the 2 losses. The reason for putting Jiggy in net would mostly be to "stir things up", just as Carlyle did when Bryzgalov replaced Jiggy. Even though I'm a big Jiggy fan, I'd expect to see Bryz in net for Game 3. Jiggy did not fare well against Edmonton this season, and we all know how easy it is for Smyth & co. to throw him off his game. They just have to go with the same game plan they used to make him go ballistic that one time - stay in his face, crowd the crease, perhaps make comments to him, some "friendly reminders" of what he's up against. That and the pressure of the situation would be too much for him. I'd say Jiggy continues cheerleading for the start of game 3. Put him in if ever down by 2, and certainly start him in Game 4 if they lose. lux_interior 05-23-2006, 12:34 AM Everything you said is why I'd put him in for game 3. He knows that **** is coming, so he'd be prepared. Redemption. Chistov23 05-23-2006, 12:57 AM Doesn't matter, we'll win either way. Spankatola Jamnuts 05-23-2006, 01:01 AM bla-dowww. sammyp 05-23-2006, 01:03 AM Which goalie will start? Bryz. Why? Just cause. sammyp 05-23-2006, 01:05 AM Doesn't matter, we'll win either way. Come one Chistov, be a little optimistic! :sarcasm: lux_interior 05-23-2006, 01:08 AM bla-dowww. bla-dowww? :dunno: Jerky Leclerc 05-23-2006, 01:12 AM The Ducks need to show some freakin emotions. Lets go out and play hard. It doesn't matter who's in net. Win game three. GO DUCKS! Chistov23 05-23-2006, 01:44 AM Win game three. GO DUCKS! :ducks Hockey Duckie 05-23-2006, 03:26 AM Bryz hasn't shown any reason to be NOT in the net. It isn't his fault that the team couldn't put more pucks past Rolo. Anyhow, as someone already noted... JS vs Edm... heh heh I don't want to lose that fast! TheJoeMan 05-23-2006, 03:27 AM I'd like to see Jiggy in net because he could provide the spark we need. The last time we played in that building he was excellent, until the last shot, but he was the only reason we were even in that game. Bryz has played well but we've got our backs against the wall and we need something. McDonald19 05-23-2006, 04:20 AM Hey anyone want to make the game 3 thread to change our luck? I don't have the time to edit stuff from the articles and make a thread tonight and I won't be home tomorrow until just after the game starts. thanks, -McD bleuer 05-23-2006, 05:33 AM I started the new one....but if they win tonight, do I have to do it again for game 4? :) ktulu98 05-23-2006, 07:37 AM i think jiggy will be there... reason? prongers goal... deesee 05-23-2006, 11:05 AM BLA-DOWWW indeed. benbouch 05-23-2006, 11:52 AM Anyone have a confirmation of the goalkeeper for tonight ? deesee 05-23-2006, 12:54 PM It should be Bryz, there's been no indication from Carlyle that it would be anyone else. Snap Wilson 05-23-2006, 01:03 PM Hey, why not throw a real curveball. Start McKee! Maybe he'll put in a playoff performance worthy of another Cornell grad... Kick Save 05-23-2006, 05:07 PM Bryz leads all playoff tenders with a 1.10 GAA and a .958 Save Percentage. He has had three shutouts. No one else---including Roloson---has had more than one shutout. And some of you guys want to start Jiggy?????? Bobby Ryan Getzlaf 05-24-2006, 12:06 AM I was hoping Jiggy would start tonite. Why? Because I wasn't sure that our offence could help us win, and I didn't think Bryz was going to steal a game from these Oilers, while I knew Jiggy could. The offense did show up, but obviously, I think had Jiggy started, we could've won that game. Oh well. ILuvLA 05-24-2006, 12:16 AM I was hoping Jiggy would start tonite. Why? Static 05-24-2006, 12:19 AM Do you think that Carlyle will make a change for Game 4? If only to "shake things up" ? yes, I do. We're down 3-0, and he wont want to go into the offseason asking "what if". Thats my take anyway. ILuvLA 05-24-2006, 12:22 AM yes, I do. Static 05-24-2006, 12:25 AM Any other changes that Carlyle might make? None. Marshall and Moen are useless in a series that NEEDS any and all offense. Skinner is just there to watch and learn. Won't happen again! ;) TheConeman 05-24-2006, 01:04 AM Gigure. It might drive up his trade value for you guys. mmbt 05-24-2006, 11:06 AM Gigure. It might drive up his trade value for you guys. But if he plays really well, wouldn't that mean they'd rather keep him than Bryzgalov, who's looked average this series? | ||
