If you mean put in Giguere, when you say put in Konopka then I'd have to agree with you.

While I like Konopka very much, this is the wrong moment to put him in to the line up.

If Konopka is not in our regular line-up come next october, he has been either traded or he's injured, otherwise something is very wrong.

I'm not sure that the addition of Joe Thornton, Niklas Lidstrom and Martin Brodeur would save the Ducks' bacon at this juncture. Pahlsson was phenomenal in shutting down Iginla and Sakic.

I've watched Pahlsson on every penalty kill throughout the playoffs. There have been numberous occasions when Pahlsson singlehandedly took 15-to-20 seconds off the clock. It's intangible contributions like this that make him invaluable. Nothing against Konopka, but subbing him for Pahlsson would be a net loss.

No, I just think he won't be back and find it funny how so many people feel he's a lock for this team next year. I like Z, I like him alot but if I was him I would go to a team that needs a center, particularly one that isn't that good so I'd get a lot of ice time and really prove myself.

We can give Zenon the money we saved on Hedström's contract, i.e. 1-year one-way deal worth what 550K.
