Belarus plays quite decent hockey. Definitely an underdog, but they are holding their own. Most important, their PK is doing well.

The team is very young and inexperienced, and may lack mental toughness. I hope they grow together as a team when the important games start.

Belrus have played really well the last couple of years. They are right up their with the Swizz, and Germany if they would have all their best players, behind the top 7.

I guess this is the game where Russia had a lot of bad bounces. Usually it is good to have games like that at the early stage. Facing the adversity will just remind you that every game needs to be won and I think this team pulled this off. I remember in 2000 the team of NHLers could not do it and these guys did. I have a strong belief that this is a capable team. I also think that Grigorenko will bounce back - he always does.

Stop being arrogant. Last time I checked, goalie is part of the team, so you can't attribute his good play to "luck". Oh, and it could have been 4-2 for Belarus had Grabovsky and Kostitsyn buried their chances in the 3rd period.

You should read other posts more carefully. Nobody says that score 3:2 (and not bigger) is only because of luck. I agree with, Belarus fighted nice, but the facts are facts. I haven't even a second of thinking that Russia can lost. But, as already have been said, Belarus fighted nice, good luck with Kazahstan.

P.S. Do you think that that Atyushov's penalty was true ?
