Right now Bergeron and Crosby are tied with 6 points in 2 games. After Malkin and Ovechkin play their second game they should be up there as well. Who do you think will lead the Tourny in Scoring?

BlackLabel 05-07-2006, 05:20 PM Crosby CUBErt 05-07-2006, 05:21 PM I'm hoping that it will be Ovechkin (or Semin), but I also put some money on Crosby and Malkin, so I definitely wouldn't mind one of them winning either. For this poll I'll say Malkin, just so the Crosby camp can't accuse me of homerism :sarcasm: I don't really care about stat padding against Norway or Kazahkstan though. I'll be more interested in seeing how these guys do against top level competition later on in the tournament. Alessandro Seren Rosso 05-07-2006, 05:41 PM Ovechkin but i'd say Semin will score a lot too Bruinster 05-07-2006, 06:30 PM A homer choice Bergeron like at the 2004 Junior championship !!! KrisKing* 05-07-2006, 06:38 PM Ovechkin's washed up. Crosbyfan 05-07-2006, 09:07 PM Seems to be Sid leading AO by about 2 to 1. They each have 3 points per game. I wonder if the polling would be different if AO had played 2 games to Sid's 1, with AO leading 6 points to 3? Muscle Bob 05-07-2006, 11:53 PM In Ovechkin - Malkin duo, Ovechkin will score, Malkin will pass :) So I voted for Ovechkin :handclap: ShadowFax 05-08-2006, 12:23 AM In Ovechkin - Malkin duo, Ovechkin will score, Malkin will pass :) So I voted for Ovechkin :handclap: Well i meant scoring leader as in points leader. Canada seems to pull up after they get a big lead like they did yesterday. So, i think it will be AO, but Malkin,Crosby and Bergeron could all have a shot at it. octopi 05-08-2006, 10:02 AM Hmmm....I think AO , SC and EM end up tied, or within a point of each other. Just because I just know they've gopt a pact between themselves to drive the fans nuts. :D BTW, way to jinx Ovechkin people  seadog 05-08-2006, 04:18 PM Seems to be Sid leading AO by about 2 to 1. Ovechkin got all his points against the worst two teams in the entire tournament, yet you try to make it sound like that's all Crosby is capable of. Do you have any other fabricated and pre-packaged excuses you want to share with us? It seems like you've been dreaming them up for some time now. I suggest you go back to the WHC when Ovechkin was 18 years old, and make up excuses why he only had 1G and 1A in 7 games... Crosby's hitting double digits half way through the tournament at age 18 - but I'm sure you have some well planned excuses for that too! octopi 05-11-2006, 02:45 PM What a joke. Don't know, but I'm pretty sure both of their names end with ...ov ;) Crosbyfan 05-11-2006, 06:59 PM Sid picks up two in the first against Latvia, one goal and one assist, but sits most of the rest of the game along with Bergeron who picked up a single point in spite of a 11-0 win. They may have done a little better in a more competitive game where they played the whole game. I guess there are plenty of those games to come. They are now one-two in scoring with 9 and 8 points. Didn't see the Russian game but it looks like AO did well in the early going also (when the score was reasonably close) picking up two assists then later a goal. Malkin picked up an assist. They are tied for third with 6 points each along with Jason Williams who picked up a goal and 3 assists against Latvia, all 4 points coming early in the game, though I'm not sure if he was "benched" along with Sid and Patrice. So they are your 5 top in the hunt for the WC "Art Ross". Sid and AO are top one and two, with 5 and 4 goals respectively in the hunt for the WC "Rocket Richard" followed closely by eight others with 3 goals each. mattihp 05-11-2006, 11:42 PM Crosby looks to be in best form of the two. x Goodwill x 05-12-2006, 12:49 AM Don't know, but I'm pretty sure both of their names end with ...ov ;) umm Fedorov..
