Should be Denis, Auld serving as a backup and probably seeing only 1 game in a tournament. But still, this could be his game.

Bergeron now has a goal and 4 assists this tournament, Crosby 3 goals and 2 assists whilst Boyes has 2 goals and an assist. Hopefully Canada v Russia it'll be this line against the Ovechkin/Malkin?(Semin?) line.

I think Sushinsky is the third guy on that line. Semin and AO are both LW, so they are on separate lines.

Norway have really stepped it down a level. With the exception of their top line the rest of the team look like they are scared to death. It has been an exceptionally poor performance from their defense. They have not been able to read the rush, they have not been able to make adequate breakout passes, they have not been able to be in position around their net and they have been unable to collect pucks off their defensive walls to even start the breakout. Couple that with a goalie who cannot make a big save and you have a disaster. Norway have been well beyond disappointing and its not like my expectations were high to begin with.

Can't see the game in New England, but it sounds like Bergeron is his usual self.

Check out his goal at this site, and vote for it if you like it. He is trailing badly in the voting, but it's a great end to end rush.

Shanahan scored the 8th goal?

Shanahan scored the 7th goal, according to my TV it's still 7-0. Norway just changed their goaltender.

I like Patrick Thoresen... good energy and grit... doesn't give up on the plays...

Desi

Nevermind, IIHF fixed their site and have it at 7-0, they counted the Bergeron goal twice for some reason.

What reason did they give?

Leafer4Life
05-07-2006, 03:25 PM
What reason did they give?

To put on avs/ducks, and probably because the score is 7-2, but still I'd like to see the end of it anyway.

Le Golie
05-07-2006, 03:26 PM
What reason did they give?

Since it's a blowout and pretty much over, they went to the Ducks Avs game.

What reason did they give?

James Duthie said that it was because Canada was in control..plus the game took longer then they expected.

Colorado vs anaheim game...

So if it was close they still would have gone to the NHL playoff game? It was scheduled that way from the start?

Totally agree. I know it seems to be a common practice in Russian sports and some other parts in Eastern europe, but It's definitely EXTREMELY annoying. Any indications of a high occurence of tinitus cases in Russia yet? ;)
