Yes, however Cristobal was a late round gamble back in 2001 selected by LA, which ended up in favour of the Montreal Canadiens this season.

Kostitsyn is going to arrive from Moscow tomorrow. Not sure why he took that route though. :dunno:

Edit: that's what they said on TV during the game. The article above says that he's already in Riga. Hmmm... I'd go with TV source. If Kostitsyn were at practice, I'm pretty sure he'd play.

I second that! How he hasn't played in NHL yet is beyond my understanding. Put some defense in front of him and watch out!

I wouldn't be so radical. Under Glen Hanlon's watch, Belarus became really resilient team that battles for every puck. Add Andrei Mezin and opportunistic offense and guess what? they'll keeep it close every game. Just check out last year's WC.

As for Andrei Kostitsyn, it's a tough call. Not sure if Hanlon will put him on the first line right from get-go. Perhaps, we'll see them together on the powerplay.

At last years WJC's, Kostitsyn joined the team later on after the Dogs were bounced from the AHL playoffs. First Hanlon put Kostitsyn on the 2nd line with Grabovsky already playing center on the top line but the next game he moved Kostitsyn up to his line on the PP, if I recall correctly from watching the games on webcast, too bad they aren't doing it this year.

The percentage is low... and they have i think 1 defence man from the Olympics and their best 2 defenceman are battling for Ottawa, also their top goalie Budaj is with Colorado.
