Hope you guy's beat up on the HABS tomorrow night. The Thrashers of course need to win back to back tonight and tomorrow but we need some help. PLEASE??????

The Devils certainly need a win. A win will assure the Devils of 5th place, but it could also mean the Atlantic Division title if the Rangers only get an OT or less out of their game against Ottawa.

I wonder if they will not show the updated score at Bell Centre. If the Rangers are trailling in their game, it would place added desire on the minds of the Devils players.

If all three teams are tied at 100pts at season's end (NYR loses last game in regulation and NJD and PHI lose in OT/SO), here are the tie breakers:

1st tie breaker (wins):
NJD 45
NYR 44
PHI 44

NJD wins tie breaker and takes division and 3rd place in play-off seeding.
NYR and PHI are tied after first tie breaker.

2nd tie breaker (points in games vs other team):
NYR: 10 points vs PHI (2 reg wins, 2 OT/SO wins, 2 OT/SO losses, 2 reg losses)
PHI: 10 points vs NYR (2 reg wins, 2 OT/SO wins, 2 OT/SO losses, 2 reg losses)

NYR and PHI are tied after 2nd tie breaker.

3rd tie-breaker (goal differential) - after 81 games:
NYR: 256 GF - 210 GA = +46
PHI: 263 GF - 258 GA = +5

NYR wins third tie breaker and takes 5th place.
PHI loses third tie breaker and takes 6th place.
(Unless NYR loses in a shoutout by 42 goals or some similar combination - that alone would make my year).


1st round match ups:
PHI at NJD
NYR at BUF

If tied at 101 points (NJD and PHI win and NYR lose in OT/SO), NJD still takes 3rd 46 wins, PHI takes 5th with 45 wins and NYR takes 6th with 44 wins.

Sure. I always support the Devils beating their opponents regardless of the situation at hand. But I don't see what we could actually do to ensure a Devils win, as we don't play on the team.

The Rangers still have to show up against Ottawa tomorrow night to win the division...no small task; especially if the Sens get Hasek back and healthy.
How's about your damn team do their damn job against the Flyers on Tuesday and ice a competitive squad. Then my team will see what they can do to improve their own situation, mmmkay?

You know ive always admired the Devils you guys have an awsome team that just continues to get the job done yr in yr out.


Its funny how everyone wrote of the Devils this yr, but even without the 2 scots you guys are really good, and I think im just starting to remember what complete monsters you guys were esp in 2000 just disgusting how good this team was, in terms of heart, skill, determination, and goaltending, just sick.


Infact the Devils are so good even if you take away thier 2 top D men thier still a threat for the cup.
