Holly Gunning 11-01-2003, 04:50 AM Well in the ECHL, you don't actually have to be hurt to go on the IR, oddly enough. It's the reserve position, and teams can use it however they like. Sometimes guys in the doghouse go on IR. I don't know which is the case here though.
