Just a little reshuffling, but how can Minnesota be ahead of Duluth when they were swept by them, and have a 1-3 record? Oh well, it's still early in the season. These polls will mean something in about March!
ttnorm 10-30-2003, 05:12 AM Oh well, it's still early in the season. These polls will mean something in about March! It won't even mean anything then. Everything in the NCAA revolves around PWR (http://www.uscho.com/FAQs/?data=pwrexplanation). Ratings are for guys (and gals) like us to talk about. FWIW, I agree it is absurd that Minnesota is ahead of UMD.
jiggs 10, as a Yale season tix holder, I hope we can keep it interesting v. the Sioux this weekend. If you are going, any report here would be appreciated.
Oilers Chick 10-30-2003, 09:57 PM Don't look now, but Maine just pummeled Merrimack earlier tonight 6-2.
Tomorrow night they host the Terriers at Alfond. Should be a good one. If anyone gets the report on that game, please post it here. Thanks.

Sure. I'm a season tix holder at UND, so I'll be at the games this weekend. I'll try to put something up here after each game (if I remember!).

Tomorrow night they host the Terriers at Alfond. Should be a good one. If anyone gets the report on that game, please post it here. Thanks.I was at the game. Maine dominated the 1st period as they usually do at the Alfond. 2nd and 3rd period BU settled down and played even with Maine which I expected from a good team like BU. It was a very defensive game with Maine getting a bit of an edge on offensive chances. BU had 2 late PP's which Maine killed including one that the linesman called with under 3 to go. BU was solid and will be a team to be weary of as will Maine.

Thanks for the report! I've been very impressed with the way Maine has played thus far this season, especially in how they dominated Minnesota at the Omaha Stampede. IMHO, there are many people who are discounting just how good Maine is, especially with the tandem of Howard and Doyle, who are arguably the best netminding duo in the nation.
TMHUNH 11-06-2003, 08:29 AM Hey Oiler's Chick... you might want to change that poll... the one you posted is last week's again.

D'OH!!!!
I just fixed it. Thanks for the heads up, TMHUNH. BTW, are you gonna be catching the UNH/BU game on Friday? I am it should be a great game (also taping the MINN/UND game to watch too.).

I won't be at the BU Game, and can't catch it on CSTV since I dont have it, I'll probably listen in on the radio...unless somehow CSTV has a webcast? do you know?.... I will, however, be at the UNH/Maine game on Saturday.

I doubt that CSTV does. Besides, you may get better play-by-play by BU or UNH guys anyway.
Can you do "Game Notes" for that Saturday game? Don't need to go into alot of detail (like I do. :D ), but I think alot of folks here at HF would be curious on a report on some of their fave NHL team's prospects. I'd really appreciate it and I'm sure they would too. ;)
