The Mighty Ducks of Anaheim of the National Hockey League (NHL) announced today that four additional games will be broadcast this season by KDOC-TV, an over-the air station available in every home in the Los Angeles television market (via either broadcast, cable or satellite provider). The four games added will take place in the season’s final week, consecutively from April 10-15 (road games at Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton and San Jose).

“We believe it’s critical for our fans to have extensive television broadcast coverage of our games, especially late in the season during a playoff drive,” said Anaheim Arena Management President/CEO & Mighty Ducks Vice President/COO Tim Ryan. “We have great television broadcast partners in FSN/FSN2 and KCAL9, and are very pleased to add KDOC-TV as a partner to complement our schedule.”

KDOC-TV is an independent television station owned and operated by Golden Orange Broadcasting. The station went on the air in 1982, and serves the Los Angeles television market, which consists of over 5.4 million homes.

“We’re honored to be affiliated with The Mighty Ducks, and thrilled to be broadcasting the biggest games of year,” said KDOC-TV Chief Executive Officer Calvin Brack.

The four additional games to be broadcast on KDOC-TV are listed below:

Date Opponent Time (Pacific)

Mon., Apr. 10 @ Vancouver 7:00 p.m.

Tues., Apr. 11 @ Calgary 6:00 p.m.

Thurs., Apr. 13 @ Edmonton 6:00 p.m.

Sat., Apr. 15 @ San Jose 1:00 p.m.

Coolness!!! :) :D :hockey: I love that the Ducks are adding games to KDOC. More coverage, more people watching, more money, more fans, and a different perspective. :) I am sure that these two organizations will be able to work in more games for next season. ;)

KDOC is channel 56 on the LA area DirecTV programming, and also on the OTA VHF broadcast band. They're also on channel 32 on the UHF band.

It'd be nice to get some HD this decade.

Just wanted to add that Disney would never make a deal like this.

We now get to watch four more exciting games that could possibly determine if the Ducks make the playoffs or not...since this station goes out to everyone with a TV in the LA area, it could get more fans. I for one am pumped that we get to see these great games instead of miss them. This can only help the Ducks. :)

This organization has become so much better under Henry S.

Excuse if this is a "dumb" question. Is KDOC the local PBS station for OC?

It's channel 54 for me. I only say that so I have something to reference in a few weeks when I'm wondering where the hell KDOC is.

The website referenced above shows the channel number for all cable systems, too.

EDIT -- forget that.

If this screws me out of Center Ice games like KCAL does, I'm going to be pissed.
