well, I'm reading on and on that Ducks fans would like to see the Kings and Ducks in the playoffs, same from many Kings fans...

Is this really true or are both sides just saying this in case both teams make the playoffs, so they can feel good?

I mean, I would love to see the Kings playing the Ducks in the playoffs...but the Kings are our rivals (kind of, just without a playoff series) and you wish your rivals to fail, don't you?

I don't care too much what the Kings do if we get a spot between 1-8, just wanted to hear your opinion about this topic...

As a Kings fan, I'd love to see the Ducks in a playoff spot..as long as it's not our spot ofcourse.

I don't care so much about the Kings being in the playoffs, unless the Ducks got to face them. I would fly back to SoCal to watch that series.

I think it would be good for hockey in SoCal if both teams were in the same playoffs. Even better if we faced each other.

Just that here in SoCal not many ppl care about hockey.

I wouldn't be against them making the playoffs as long as we made it too.

but we wouldn't get to play them anyway.

Kings would be #6 or 7 and Ducks would be #7 or 8...and they would each have to win their first and 2nd round games against higher seeds in order to meet up in the Conference Finals...very unlikely.

hmm...let's see...

8th beats 1st
7th beats 2nd
6th beats 3rd
5th beats 4th

2nd round would be:

5th vs 8th and 6th vs 7th...so yeah it's possible
