Kaspar didn't go for Gagne's knees when he checked him. It was a perfectly clean hipcheck which is why there was no penalty called. The only way it would have been called is if Kaspar would have hit Gagne on the knees,which he clearly didn't,so the ref made the right decision by not calling it.

If the color comentator's words turn out to be right in saying that special teams will decide this game then Russia is not looking good (Russia's powerplay has been ineffective throughout the tournament and they are not moving enough in this game too)

Nah, even though I promised myself that I wasn't going to be cheering for Canada I find myself doing it anyways. The fact that they're playing Russia just makes it easier.

EVERY HIT has a certain intent. Kasparaitis plays a physical game, yes somewhat dirty, but I dont think the intent there was to injure Gagne, you disagree thats fine.

I replied to a post that said the hit was hip to hip saying that the hip wasnt on the hip, In case you didnt know there is a length of body between the hip and knee. Its not that hard to figure out.
