If their goalies play out of their freakin' minds like in the last two games, then yes. Otherwise, no way.

They have a chance every game with those two goaltenders.

I don't agree. To be a SERIOUS threat, you need more than just goaltenders. Lack of skill and team depth will catch up to them when the big teams start taking things seriously. The Swiss have had great success so far, but I don't consider them legitimate contenders at this point.

Well if they get to play against the Czechs and the Canadians in the playoffs. :biglaugh:

True but now its time to stop underestimate opponents. Czechs and Canada were guilty of that. To beat the Swiss its simple, take the lead like Finland did.

They played seriously. Gerber/Aebi just robbed them.

They WILL make it to a medal game, if they beet italy and germany, chich they prob will, they will prob finnish 1st in the division which means they will play against the 4th team in the other division which will prob be the states...and mark my words they WILL beat the states and make to the semis.

If Finland beat Czech/Canada and Germany we will take the 1st spot of the group.

Its not all goaltending for the Swiss, they play amazing as a team. Their D stick to the front of the net to prevent rebounds, the hit like theirs no tomorrow. When they get great chanes they just seem to go in, So if the Swiss keep this up i think they can win a medal! But no one knows which medal that will be. Plus Abby and Gerber have basically just stood on their heads in back to back games! if they keep that up then the swiss wont be blown out if they lose.

The big egde is the 5-0 over SUI earlier, even if 3 teams would end up
in equal points.

I don't want to take away anything from the Swiss victory today, it was
a great win, but to get a medal, the Swiss team should do the same

Until the elimination begins, these games mean nothing to Canada.

Yeah I think so. Or maybe they think so. you dont come on in the third period when you're down two goals and expect to win all of the sudden. If I was Quinn I'd have hung every one of the players not named Rick Nash today. How the Swiss beat Canada is beyond me. Hey give credit to them, they won what can you say. If Canada wants to play like a bunch of boys then they'll be watching the Gold medal game back in Canada. Personally I'm extremely ashamed of the Canadian team. Boy I'll bet Wayne and Janet are glad they didnt bet on this game.

No way. The swiss are a solid team but not more. I am swiss but you must be realistic for us the olympic games is already a big success. We have only 3 players in the nhl but I think players like Bezina, Vauclair, Plüss and Fischer have the skill to play in the nhl. The problem is that, this is not enough to be one of the top teams. In both games we were outplayed by the other team and our goalkeeper were the only reason for this 2 upsets. By the way our best player is not here. His name Julien Sprunger he is awesome and is drafted by Minnesota he will be a nhl player in a few years for 80%.

I didnt see the Czech game, but Canada dominated their game. It came down to Gerber Vs Canada, especially in the third period. Sometimes all it takes is a hot goalie.

Actually ties against both CZE and CAN would have done the
trick with a win over GER. But now a 2-3 goal loss to CAN still
brings us to winning the group, if GER is beaten on Tuesday.
