What? Are you on crack or is it just a miskey? I understand Lundy letting in 5 impossibly-to-stop goals from Russians, but from Latvia? No way. Lundqvist is the best goaltender in the pool, Russia-Sweden game was the result of poor coaching and a non-show by team Sweden.

Anything can happen in a sport. You make it sound like it's totally impossible for Latvia to win, I think you are wrong there. No matter who Sweden has in goal, they can lose if they don't show up in the game. Irbe just needs a good game there and Latvia one or few goals, I wouldn't say that's a totally impossible thing to happen.

That being said, I would be very shocked to see if Sweden lost this, but I think you are being too biased.

And it's only a prediction after all, if it was betting for money, you would have a chance to win a lot more money that way, if Latvia manages to pull it off. :teach:

Why don't you bet on Latvia to win the Olympics? Imagine how much money you could win if u do that:)

That's a totally different thing. To win the Stanley Cup you need to win a lot of good teams, many times. This is just a single game in question here. Would you say it's impossible for the Caps to win a struggling/sleepy team once during the season? I wouldn't. ;)

And to answer your edited post, it's still the same thing but in smaller scale than the Stanley cup.

Well, I bet that Sweden is extremely pis-sed off and they'll take it out on Latvia. They'll bang'em, they'll crush the net, they'll do everything it takes to score. I could see Sweden manhandling Latvia.

Fair enough, I expect something like that as well. I just don't like to rule a team totally out of the match, especially if the other team hasn't been on their sharpest so far. :)
