If the broadcasting is legal and public (that is, no "piracy" involved), I cannot see why not.

Everyone seems to have links that are only viewable for the european area. Does anyone have anything that works in North America???

It is definitely legal. NOS is the Netherlands' biggest sports (and news) network, and they are using the Olympics to test how the response will be.
As you might have heard, there is no commentary available, except for channel 6, which is just the online version of the dutch TV-broadcast (so that's mainly boring speedskating). There is sound from the rink itself though.

"IJshockey: Slowakije-Letland, heren", currently channel 1.

So for all of you:

IJshockey obviously is hockey.
Heren is Men
Dames is Ladies
And I think the country-names are quite obvious (though Tsjechië = Czech Rep. and Letland = Latvia)...

marked it for you..

the marks on the bottom are the upcoming games
21.00 means 9 pm CET

you just have to click on KANAL 1(or 2 or 3 wherever the game is youd like to see)

I either am not finding it, or it doesn't work.

After I click on this link, I get redirected to an address that has "error" in it... Odd.

is anyone else from north america having trouble getting on the site?We will not have access to it here since CBC/TSN and NBC have the Olympic rights, and have the right to veto any other media (TV, and internet streaming) from entering...

They can tell where you are by your IP address

i guess its save to say that you are not able to watch the stream if you live in north america unless you find some kind of a backdoor

And usually proxies are extremely slow... so watching from North America is pretty much impossible.
