A new article is up on the main page at HF. It is a Devils NCAA prospect update on the progress of the 6 Devils prospects playing in the collegiate ranks.
Enjoy!

Good recap, Jared. Thanks. Good thing, it furthers my assertion that Jason Smith could be a player in the future. :)
I am also liking what I'm reading about Eckford and Tarkir. I can only hope Mark Fayne and Nathan Perkovich play well next year in the NCAA.

There's just somethin about Zajac that reminds me of Joe Nieuwendyk..anyone else feel the same? but using that comparison im not sayin zajac's gunna be a hall of famer..but he'll be damn good player in my opinion.

He seems to always have time, to almost be aloof from the hurly-burly of the play....poised, I guess, sums it up.

Who do you guys think will be the better player, Parise or Zajac?

I think Parise will be a great player, 1st/2nd liner with great point totals.
I think Zajac will be the better player.

Parise will probably score more, but Zajac will probably have a better two way game at this level. That's not to say that Parise won't be competent defensively, but Zajac likely will be more well rounded I think. And don't discount the faceoff factor too. Zajac's ability on faceoffs is a bonus....
Who do you guys think will be the better player, Parise or Zajac?
I think Parise will be a better offensive player but Zajac will be a both way player just because of his size.

What do guys see as Zajac's ceiling as far as point-production goes?
30goals/60-65 points-ish?

It's hard to tell by new NHL standards. 25g 70 points maybe?
He seems to me like an ideal checking line guy who can score. Faceoffs, size, physical presence, and defensive awareness.

That's probably is his ceiling, around 25-30 goals and 60-65 points. He should at worst be a 20-20 guy. Maybe a bit better version of Steve Rucchin when he was in his prime???
