These will be a couple of tough games. The Champs are desperate for points, although it looks like they have goaltending issues and the Panther have been playing well of late. And as anyone notice the schedule, the Devs will have four full day's off before they meet the Sens. That's a long layoff aganist a team that like's to blow teams out in the first.

weve been playing every other night and back to back nights, were gonna have to have a bit of a longer break once in awhile

Tampa has been playing well in their last ten games, especially defensively. Don't look for a blowout tonight like the last time we were down there. Tampa is right on our tail trailing by three points. I'm hoping these back-to-back's means that Clemmy will get a start tomorrow.

I understand. However, four day's is a bit much going up against the Sens. However, I hope the rest helps instead of hurt.

This is a game to watch as both teams should play hard tonight trying to slip past the lower seeds.

I'm going to miss most of this game thanks to class tonight. Regardless, I agree with earlier posts that this is an important game. NJ needs points to catch up to the Rangers and TB needs points to catch up to New Jersey (they are only 3 back). This has been a very busy, but successful, month for the Devils, hopefully they continue their success against TB tonight.

If Clemmensen is playing at all, I hope it's against Florida and not tonight; Devils need this win. I think they'll get it, I hope I'll be right when I check the score when I come home from class.

You can just feel a letdown over these next two games. TB is no slouch, regardless of goalie, and they seem to play the Devils well all the time (except for that last debacle). And Florida has a chance to win every night with Luongo in net, despite his personal record against Jersey.

I feel two losses, one in OT in a shootout.

Playoff seed implications tonight.

Devils lead 11-8 in GF, series tied 1-1-0.

Last game remaining against TB at CAA Feb. 7th, coming off 2 days rest after Carolina at home and Toronto away back-to-back.

Yeah I'm at work and I'm following it on the Gamecast on Foxsports and we are getting outshot 10-3. That's ok, go into the lockerroom knowing they recieved TB's best and came out even, regroup and get them in the second.

Velischek just commented upon completion of the 1st that this Bolts team is in his view the best-performed squad the Devs have faced in 2006, and he specifically included the Flyers & Rangers in that group...

Devs have braved the storm thus far, with Marty's help naturally, but are playing solid D...patience and counter-attack boys.

No one on the team can pass the puck this evenings, so I don't know why you would single out Rafalski?

The power play isn't the problem tonight, per se. It is the totallity of the offense.

the goal in overtime counts against his gaa and sv%
goals in the shootout do not affect gaa and sv%

No it's always been a rule, if you hit someone with a high stick during a reasonable follow through its not a penalty. Kind of like when Marty reefed LeClair with his goal stick during the playoffs in '00.

We need a second line that can score on the road when the EGG line is being checked. There is no threat to score when those 3 leave the ice. Our 2nd power play unit isn't doing much either.

what about doug weight?

He'd be a good rental, we have space to afford him at the deadline and he'd be a perfect #2 center, except, I think we need wingers, I love Marshy, but he can't be playing 2nd line RW, he's a 4th liner......I think our needs are a 2nd line, and a defensive defensman.

Elias-Gomez-Gionta

trade-trade-trade

Pandolfo-Madden-Langenbrunner

Brylin-Rasmussen-Marshall

Kozlov has been given every opportunity, and he just doesnt run with it, I don't want Z-Par up on the 2nd line in the playoffs, I love the kid, but he doesn't belong yet, not that high up. Of course, Lou doesn't trade for 3 players in one year, especially not top flight second liners.......maybe role players, so I think we'll see Z-Par up on the 2nd line LW, Kozlov on the RW and maybe a Doug Weight in the middle. I've just been thinking about Owen Nolan, if he's fully healed would be great on the 2nd line in the RW spot, and Douggie Weight as his C, it would be a good mix, maybe have Parise up there with them, and trade Kozlov, if anyone wants the headache.
