According to the Fourthperiod.com Arnason is on the block because he failed to live up to the expectations as the Blackhawks no 1 center.

Would he fit the bill as the Devils no 2 center and what would it cost to get him? He is making 1,2mil which seems resonable for a second line center.

Your toughts?

I like Arnason alot and I think he would be a good fit at number 2. I have no idea what the hawks would want though. Ahonen? :D

He seems to have the same rep as kozlov. great some night, mediocre others. the thought was that trent yawney could get more out of him (because he coached 6/7 of these guys in norfolk. maybe they're giving up on him. he's got great hands.
did you see the goal he scored on marty?

Arnason makes $1.2 million.

Kozlov makes $1.748 million.

I don't think Chicago would take Kozlov for Arnason straight up, but if Tyler has no problem playing wing sometimes; I'd like to see him in a Devils uniform. I really liked what I saw of him in the Chicago game.

I've heard on the radio yesterday that one guy that seems to be attracting a lot of interest, despite the fact he is just returning from injury tonight is Mike Leclerc. I for one think that he would be a nice guy to add to the line-up. A more skilled Grant Marshall, and I think he could probably slot in on the 2nd line here with Zach nicely......

Do you mean the Leclerc that used to be on the Ducks? Where is he now?
I agree he'd be a good fit for the Devils, tough with some hands as well. Is he a center? I think they need a 2nd line center...Sarge plays his butt off but he's not enough of an offensive threat to be the 2nd line center.

He with the Coyotes at the moment, and he is just coming back from a knee injury tonight I believe. Leclerc is a power winger if I'm not mistaken....

I'd rather see Jason Allison traded to the Devils. He could put up some crazy numbers playing with Gionta and Elias. Bell, Richards, Nolan, and Weight would also look good wearing Devils colors.

What are these guys' contract situations? If it is in a rental capacity, I wouldn't mind seeing any of these guys in a Devils' sweater. But I wouldn't want to give up much for them either. If they have more than a year left though, forget it. We can't afford big-name talent. We went down that road this past summer and it bit us in the ***.

Sarge has way more ot offer than Parise @ the moment. Its' parise that doesnt belong on the 2nd line. Sarge makes stuff happen.

I don't mean to knock Sarge because he's a great hustler and he is playing 2nd line center becayse early in the season Parise showed he wasn't ready for it BUT I don't think with Sarge as a second line center we will get far. Without a second line that can score on the road in the playoffs we won't win. Sarge should be a second line winger but not center.

this was exactly what i tought - second line, sarge and kozlov on the wing centered by arnason. arnason would be the set-up guy for kozlov and sarge is creating space and plays defense on that line
