How long until Elias gets the 'C'?

What's your feeling on the situation?

I've heard a lot of people say on the night Stevens jersey goes to the rafters, but I personally think that takes a bit away from Scotty's night, so I don't want it to happen then.

But there's not much time between now and then ... and not many opportunities for it to happen sooner. Away? Probably not. At home vs. the Sens? Prob. not, enough to concern themselves with.

Anyway, just wanted to know what the rest of the flock thinks.

Personally, I couldn't think of a better way to seal Steven's night than he handing the C over to Elias.

Knowing the devils he will just skate out one night with it on and Lou will say "we just felt the time is right"

i want him to have it but my only thinking is they are waiting for him to feel 100% and not add that pressure on him...even though he is acting like the captain anyway.

And while we're on the subject of Stevens' night, I expect to see him cry his eyes out knowing he's such an emotional individual (same reason he didn't have the courage to announce his retirement through a press conference. He did it over the phone instead.)

It would be a nice touch. I just kind of feel that that's Scotty's night. If Patty's already got the C, he can sort of represent the team more officially in that capacity.
I dunno, whenever it is, all it really means to me is a time frame on MY new jersey. It'll be special whenever it happens.

Actually Nieds was the last captain.One could make the argument that Stevens was captain until the announcement of his retirement, which occurred after Mr. Niedermayer signed in Anaheim.

At the very least, they were both captains at the conclusion of the 2004 playoffs.

Similar to when Borque gave Espo his number 7 at Espo's retirement, Stevens will give Elias the C.

That's so weird since we felt like like we were captainless.
