anyone know if he has entered the draft? What round would he picked up in. he seems to be consistent for UND this year. What are the chances of the Devils drafting him?

On the smallish side, but he's having a nice year. Maybe it's cause he's so young, but I just can't see him as an NHL goalie yet. What are the chances of the Devils drafting him?Jordan Parise is older than Zach. Jordan was born September 19, 1982. Zach was born July 28, 1984. Players usually aren't drafted at that age. He may get a amateur free-agent contract after he is done at UND. devsjunkie 01-23-2006, 01:45 PM Wow, very interesting. Had no idea. TaiMaiShu 01-23-2006, 05:20 PM that would be cool if the devils signed/drafted him DownFromNJ 01-23-2006, 05:24 PM They definately could use an AHL level goalie. azsioux 01-24-2006, 11:27 AM jordan could sign a free agent deal after this season which is his junior year if he gets a decent offer, just depends. he has been very good for the sioux and has played in some huge games and done very well. i have no idea if he will come back for his senior year but either way i believe there will be many teams looking to sign him. 1 Jordan Parise GP-GS 17-17 Minutes 1001:11 GA 39 Avg 2.34 Saves 507 Pct .929 W L T 12 4 1 SO 2 http://fightingsioux.com/sports/mhockey/bio.asp?PLAYER_ID=3296 RobTricks 01-25-2006, 01:25 AM Players usually aren't drafted at that age. He may get a amateur free-agent contract after he is done at UND. There's an age limit for the draft. Jordan is way older than said limit. 4check22 01-25-2006, 10:30 AM There's an age limit for the draft. Jordan is way older than said limit. Exactly. The same thing happened to Ed Belfour. He came out of UND undrafted and has done quite well for himself, don't you think? I'm not saying Parise will even be half the goaltender that Eddie the Eagle has been, but he will definitely get a shot with some team next year. Since he is not eligible for the draft, he can sign wherever he wants. To say the Devils have the inside shot at him is an understatement. If the Devils make him an offer, he'll likely sign to get the chance to play with his younger brother again. tmg 01-25-2006, 01:40 PM There's an age limit for the draft. Jordan is way older than said limit. Clarification (not relevant to the J Parise case, but one people probably should know about should they cite an age limit as absolute fact): There's an age limit for _North Americans_ in the draft. For Europeans (specifically, players 21+ who did not play a season in North America before turning 21), there's no age limit - if you wanted a 35 year old European to join your club, you'd have to draft him. There are no John Madden / Brian Rafalski style undrafted Europeans in the NHL. When the Devils drafted Andreas Salomonsson in 2001, he was 27 years old. | ||
