On the smallish side, but he's having a nice year.

Maybe it's cause he's so young, but I just can't see him as an NHL goalie yet.

They definately could use an AHL level goalie.

jordan could sign a free agent deal after this season which is his junior year if he gets a decent offer, just depends. he has been very good for the sioux and has played in some huge games and done very well. i have no idea if he will come back for his senior year but either way i believe there will be many teams looking to sign him.

Exactly. The same thing happened to Ed Belfour. He came out of UND undrafted and has done quite well for himself, don't you think? I'm not saying Parise will even be half the goaltender that Eddie the Eagle has been, but he will definitely get a shot with some team next year. Since he is not eligible for the draft, he can sign wherever he wants. To say the Devils have the inside shot at him is an understatement. If the Devils make him an offer, he'll likely sign to get the chance to play with his younger brother again.

Clarification (not relevant to the J Parise case, but one people probably should know about should they cite an age limit as absolute fact): There's an age limit for _North Americans_ in the draft. For Europeans (specifically, players 21+ who did not play a season in North America before turning 21), there's no age limit - if you wanted a 35 year old European to join your club, you'd have to draft him. There are no John Madden / Brian Rafalski style undrafted Europeans in the NHL.
