Jagr: 15:30 of ice time. Zero shots. Caught on tv yelling at someone on the bench. How long til this blows up all the way?
Witt: He comes back and the shots on goal against drop right back to under 20. Kudos to Witt.
Lang: Caps are getting their money's worth out of that guy.
Semin: He got close a couple of times...If they keep him in the lineup he may catch fire.
Zubrus: 6 shots on goal....no goals...can he go 20 games without a goal again this year?
Kolzig: when are they going to learn to give Olie the night off against the Stars?

Jagr may as well put on the sandwich board proclaiming he'll work for food and shelter elsewhere. He's challenging Cassidy's authority the same way he did in Pittsburgh with numerous coaches and is clearly ready for a change of scenery. What teams can afford him and would want him aside from the New York Rangers? I thought his game prior to last night was awful but man oh man. This isn't going to last long at this pace.

Semin didn't show me anything last night against the Stars. Nothin. Not impressed so far.
Witt played well.
Lang...well simply put, our best player. He's playin with amazing confidence. His trade value has to be rising now.
Jagr...can't wait to find out more. Personally I want to see him mad. I think it's the only way he's gonna play better.

Wow--the reviews on Semin are so incredibly mixed. Some say that he's just a natural puck carrier oozing with talent while others say they weren't impressed at all. I guess I'll check it out for myself against St. Louis tonight (I'm going to the game).

It has been suggested that Cassidy was getting on Jagr for slacking on a line-change, but who knows.
If that's the case, then good for Butch, but this really seems like it's going to end badly.

I wonder a bit what the point of view is from those that say Semin showed very little. He had two shots on goal. Which was 2 more than Jagr had. Both of his shots were in close. He had a 3rd chance that he fanned on. His passes were crisp and on the tape. his best scoring chance came on the power play where he went to the door step for a close in chance then bounced the rebound off the post. The doorstep is a place of pain and a place rookies with soft hands generally don't have the guts to go to and pay the price. He does. I don't think you are going to see him scratched for a while. As long as Jagr struggles at least. Last night Semin skated with Halpern and Pettinger and created chances. He skated with Gordon and Jagr. He played the power play with Lang. He is very flexible for a guy that doesnt speak the language
